Chapter 139

• As Ares sat down in Martina's cozy living room with his legs crossed, he could feel the eyes of Antonio who was standing behind him. He had no doubt Antonio was calling him crazy, for not only subjecting him to inject Martina with sleeping medications but still showing up at her house to torment her even further.
• That was the least of Ares's concerns right now, the plan was to break Martina until she would fall to her knee and beg him. He had told her she would regret the moment they crossed paths and he was a man of his word after all.
• A picture next to the television caught his eye and he got on his feet to check it out, Antonio remained still watching him closely. Ares picked up the picture frame, it was a picture of Martina when she was younger with a woman, who Ares suspected could be her mother as they shared some recognizable features.
