Chapter 9 Fuck The Devil
- “Get out of my way,” Kon said in a calm tone as he narrowed his eyes at the men.
- “What a feisty boy.” The leader smirked as he gave Kon a once-over.
- “You don't know how feisty I am.” Kon smiled, “now, will you please let me pass?”
- “How dare you!” The leader tried to punch him, but Kon dodged.
- He bent down a bit and kicked the man in the stomach.
- “How dare you?” The man growled in anger as he righted his stance.
- “Wow, who would have thought he's this strong?” The devil mussed as he watched the boy who sparked his interest.
- He knew the boy was bold, but never would he have thought the boy was this strong.
- It didn't take Kon a minute to get the men writhing on the ground.
- “Before you attack in the future, know your opponents.” Kon scoffed at the men before he turned and started towards his house.
- “What should we do now, boss?” Scorpion, who was at a loss of what to do, turned to his boss.
- “Follow him.”
- The devil commanded as he watched Kon disappear down the streets.
- It infuriated him that his plans didn't work.
- He had expected Kon to be a damsel he would swoop in and save, but never would he have expected him to be tough.
- Scorpion trailed Kon just like his boss asked him to.
- His car didn't make a sound, and neither did he switch the light on.
- “Where did he go?” Scorpion blinked when he saw the empty road ahead.
- There was no sign of Kon who was minutes ago, walking through the empty streets as if he owned the place.
- “How could you have lost him? Could—”
- A knock on the devil's window startled him.
- However, when he saw who it was that knocked on his window, he rolled down the window.
- “Are you—”
- “Don't you dare follow me any more.” Kon clenched his teeth and narrowed his eyes at the devil.
- “I don't know who you are, or what you want. And I'm not concerned with whom you might be.
- Just leave me the fuck alone!” Kon hits his clenched fist on the car before he turned and left.
- Scorpion sat there in shock as he watched the devil know what his reactions will be.
- “What a feisty little diva.” The Devil smiled as he watched Kon leave, “I will make sure no cuss words leave your mouth when I'm through with you, kitten.”
- Scorpion gaped in surprise at the devil's words.
- To say he was surprised will be an understatement.
- This was his first time seeing the devil act this way with another.
- The devil he knew wouldn't have allowed Kon to live more than a day.
- “Let's go home.” The devil leaned on his seat, and closed his eyes, softly humming as he imagined all the things he could do to Kon's cute button mouth.
- **********
- “Bloody mafias!” Kon kicked a bottle can next to him. He ran a hand through his hair, as he tried to come to terms with what happened between him and the devil last night.
- “What's wrong?” Lin frowned at his friend, who has been acting strange since they came to class.
- It was so unlike Kon to behave that way, and it surprised Lin, who has always known him as a comported student.
- “What won't be wrong when that stupid devil tried to get on my nerves last night!”
- “What devil?” Lin gasped, “are you speaking of the same person I think you are talking about?” He glanced around to make sure there was no one watching them.
- “Who else would it be if not for that blood devil? I will make sure I rip his head off his neck the next time I see him. I will surely kill him!” Kon fumed in anger.
- “Calm down, and tell me what happened, Kon. You know we are in his area, we shouldn't speak about—”
- “To hell with what we should do and what we shouldn't do. I'm not afraid of him, and will never be! If he tries what he did last night, I will show him who I am!” Kon stomped.
- “Okay, I've heard you, Kon. But, can you tell me what happened? I need to know why you are this worked up.”
- Kon sighed.
- “This was what happened last night.......”
- *******
- “Lin is just a wimp. How could he ask me to lay my head low because I insulted the devil?
- Wait a minute, who insulated who? The devil was the one who started this!”
- As Kon walked through the streets, he kept on soliloquizing.
- Not only was he angry at the devil, but he was also equally pissed at his friend, whose advice makes him want to pull all his hair out.
- “Fuck the devil! Fuck Lin!”
- Kon continued to curse the devil out loud until he reached their house.
- He stopped talking when their run-down house came into focus.
- “I hope she's not around, or probably knocked out.” He whispered as he slowly walked towards their house.
- The neighbours were either gone for the day, or in their houses.
- There was no one around when Kon walked past, and he decided it was for the best.
- This way, he won't be forced to exchange pleasantries with those poor old ladies who reside in the house opposite theirs.
- The house was quiet when Kon walked to it, so he deduced his mother was likely knocked out or wasn't around.
- It was for the best.
- This way, he can easily sneak into the house, and change before he goes to work.
- Meeting his mother most times spoils his mood, so he was happy it won't be the same as the last time he left in anger.
- He slowly opened the door and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who it was that was standing in the middle of the parlour.
- This was a scene he never would have imagined all his life.
