Chapter 49 A Dangerous Liaison
- Gaspar was a piece of shit who thought he was bigger than me. Our deal was simple: he cleared the highways, turned a blind eye to illegal goods, and we gave him a cut. The problem was, Gaspar thought he had the right to challenge me more than necessary. He wanted a bigger slice of the pie I was baking.
- "So, he's a crooked politician trying to blackmail you?" Dark asked, reading the papers she brought with a smile on her face. This woman was beautiful, a temptation. Resisting my attraction to her was harder than not breathing. Her long legs were draped over me, and feeling her smooth skin was enough to arouse me. Not being foolish, I used our closeness to test her limits. "Why are we going to a nightclub, and more interestingly, why are you taking me on this mission? Don’t tell me you want to keep an eye on me again?"
- "No, this isn’t surveillance. I need to have a little chat with the idiot before you get to him," I explained, sliding my hands under her tight black dress. "Gaspar will be the easiest and most fun for you."
