She could not believe what she just heard, she felt hurt and betrayed by both of them, but her pain is bitter when her eyes see Vladimir, she had placed her trust thinking he was different and now she does not even know what to think of him, her mind screams at her how stupid she was for having trusted him blindly.
Karen could not take it anymore and ran out of the event and never saw their faces again, when she ran away from the establishment she stopped running, a lump in her throat burned her as she tried to sob, she could not even say anything as she felt stupidly hurt by a man who was her lover and with whom she had fallen in love.
Walking alone on the sidewalk and aimlessly she remembered everything that Joseph and Vladimir had said and that destroyed her inside. The memory of Vladimir and her in the garden popped into her mind, she grasped his hand and scolded herself for thinking about him.
