• Vladimir couldn't articulate a single word, he only managed to crook a smile. The siren of a patrol car made Karen's young brother—in—law stop and turn in the opposite direction, he accelerated his car and got out in a panic, Vladimir exhaled with relief, he immediately shook Karen off and adjusted the belt of his pants before stopping.
