Chapter 375 Battle Line

• “Mary was in charge of training me when I entered the palace as a maid so I trust she will guide you well. I expect you to respect her as disrespecting her would be the same as disrespecting me.” I admonished the five girls gathered in my office with Mary behind them.
• “Yes, Your Majesty,” the girls chorused.
• I looked up at Mary to see her frowning. I bet she did not expect to suddenly be the leader of a bunch of girls when she just started working for me. Our eyes met but she did not lose her frown and I breathed out a sigh of relief. She did not look at me with hatred this time but with interest. Mary was smart so if she didn’t already know I was trying to buy her favour, she would figure it out soon. How she would proceed with that knowledge would determine whether Ella was right.
