Chapter 4 A Billion-Dollar Scam
- Henry was reminding Olivia of her place. She was merely a tool for Alexander to appease Mr. Liam, with no real power in the Wilson family.
- “Ms. Carter, you should leave. You can’t open this lock.”
- “Can’t open it?” Olivia glanced at Henry.
- Henry sneered, “This lock was specially made by Eldoria’s top security company. It can only be opened with Mr. Wilson’s fingerprint. No other method can break it. You might as well...”
- As Henry was mocking her, Olivia suddenly picked up a nearby fire ax.
- Olivia hefted the ax and looked at Henry with a challenging gaze.
- “Can’t open it?”
- A chilling premonition surged through Henry’s mind!
- “What are you trying to do?”
- Before Henry could finish his sentence, Olivia swung the ax and struck the expensive fingerprint lock with a powerful blow!
- “Bang!”
- With a deafening crash, the electronic lock shattered under the sharp ax sparks flying everywhere, and electrical flashes temporarily blinded Henry.
- With the electronic lock disabled, the garage door swung open with a thunderous sound.
- Inside the expansive garage were countless luxury cars, any one of which was worth enough to support a family living extravagantly for ten years!
- Olivia’s ax blow left Henry stunned!
- What!
- “It opened, didn’t it?” Olivia raised an eyebrow at Henry and stormed into the garage with the ax over her shoulder.
- She would be a fool if she didn’t take advantage of a good deal. Since she couldn’t get a divorce for now, why not use her rights as Alexander’s wife?
- It had to be said that Alexander was indeed very wealthy. There were many cars in the garage that Olivia had never even seen before.
- Damn, those rich people!
- He was rich yet still trying to scam her out of a billion!
- Olivia was eager to make money and immediately chose a red Ferrari.
- “Keys,” Olivia said, turning to Henry, who was still stunned at the garage entrance.
- Henry, still trying to process Olivia’s audacious behavior, was momentarily at a loss for words.
- Olivia raised an eyebrow and, with the ax resting on her shoulder and a smirk on her lips, said, “Or should I handle it myself?”
- Upon hearing this, Henry’s heart sank. Seeing Olivia with the ax, he was utterly horrified!
- Cold sweat broke out on Henry’s forehead. That Ferrari was one of Mr. Wilson’s favorites. If she wrecked it
- “Ms. Carter… The keys are here. I’ll arrange for a driver right away!”
- Olivia tossed the ax to Henry, got into the car, and sat down.
- “No need. I have a license.”
- With a press of the gas pedal, nothing else mattered!
- That Included love. it didn’t matter at all. She was off to make money!
- The red Ferrari sped away like a crimson lightning bolt, leaving Henry in its dust.
- Olivia sped down the road, glancing at her reflection in the rearview mirror.
- Her long bangs and loose hair cast her face in shadow, paired with the oversized black glasses on her nose, making it almost impossible for anyone to see what she looked like.
- When Olivia was young, she had been fostered in the countryside by the Carter family. It was only recently that the Carter family had taken her back. Since her return, her sister Amelia has insisted she maintain this dowdy appearance.
- From head to toe, she exuded an air of inferiority and timidity.
- At the moment, Olivia had no intention of changing, especially since she was currently under contract with a talent agency and had some acting gigs lined up. If she went to school in her true form, her acting identity would be exposed.
- If she remembered correctly, there was a “big deal” waiting for her at school today.
