Chapter 25 At Dawn

• Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Amy soaked herself in the warm water. It calmed her feelings and comforted her exhausted body. But then she sobbed and hugged herself, feeling dirty to sell her body. Tomorrow would be her parents’ funeral, and she was no longer a virgin. She wasn’t the same person as she was, and it was because of money.
• Shedding her tears, she sniffed, but tried to muffle her sobs with a hand. Samuel didn’t force her to accept the offer. It was she who agreed to accept it, but she couldn’t let go of the unworthy feeling as she had been a prostitute to Samuel.
• She touched her flat stomach and let out a sigh. She still had two weeks left until her monthly period. But then, Amy gasped as it was the ovulation period, the most fertile time for her. She didn’t know if it was only a coincidence or if Samuel had already planned it.
