Chapter 6 Trapped

  • Tatiana
  • "Are you going home?" he suddenly asked, approaching. And what the hell did he care?
  • "Yes..." I said, resuming my walk and trying to get away from him as fast as I could. But within seconds, he was by my side.
  • "Do you want me to accompany you? It's just the way..." he asked, and I was perplexed.
  • "It's close and it's a safe town," I replied. But he continued to walk beside me, and I stopped and looked at him, trying to decipher what was happening while also trying to make him understand that I didn't want his company. He seemed anxious.
  • "About what happened... it shouldn't have happened, the other alphas were very rude... and..." he said, taking a few steps closer to me, and I took two steps back.
  • "It's no different from how werewolves have treated me in the past, so I'm not surprised..." I say, and I can see that he doesn't like my response and seems hurt. But it's the truth.
  • "Tati, I..."
  • "Tatiana," I say firmly. I don't know what this man wants, but he doesn't seem to understand that I don't want to be near him.
  • "Excuse me?" he asks with a lost expression.
  • "My name is Tatiana," I say, making the distinction clear.
  • He is not my friend or anyone dear to me to tell me what to do, he has a strange expression and suddenly I see him looking towards my bag. And now I understand what's happening.
  • "Ahhh just... did you want your shirt back? Is that it?" I ask, and he is left speechless as I proceed to pull the garment out of my bag and hand it to him.
  • "I wasn't going to keep it, I'm not a thief, I just wanted to wash it before giving it back to you in the morning," I say, and he takes it.
  • "It's not necessary..." he says, frowning. Then he looks at my hand, which he takes and looks concerned.
  • "Does it hurt? You should cover it... take care of yourself... you don't heal as quickly and..." of course, werewolves heal much faster.
  • "Yes, I know... I'm not a werewolf, just a simple human," I say and pull my hand back from him. Sebastian seems to regret his words.
  • "Alright... anything else? If you don't mind, I'm off work now, I don't have to serve and please you. Here, I'm no longer your waitress, but a normal citizen," I snap.
  • "I never..."
  • "I ask you to please leave me alone," I say and walk towards my house without looking back. I hear him sigh and footsteps behind me, until he seems to give up.
  • When I enter, I slam the door and sigh. My children come out to greet me with smiles, but suddenly they have a strange look.
  • "Why do you smell like Alpha Sebastian?" Henry asks.
  • -It's a very long story that I don't want to tell right now... but I brought leftovers from the restaurant... so we'll have a good dinner. I'm going to take a bath - I say after giving kisses to each one. But when I come out of the bathroom and go to the kitchen, I see them with strange expressions. Marina can't stop looking out the window.
  • -Is everything okay? - I ask, and they act as if nothing is happening.
  • After we have a strange dinner where they were unusually quiet, I look out the window and see absolutely nothing. It must be werewolf stuff, I think.
  • The next morning, I look for a black skirt and a matching shirt, and I think not even Gaby himself will notice that I don't have the uniform. And as I arrive at the restaurant, I encounter news.
  • -Can you believe that the mayor is going to have a special party for the arrival of these businessmen? He says he wants to put the town on the map, isn't it fantastic? - says Mariela very happily. I try to hide my horror. I know the moon goddess won't listen to me because I'm not a werewolf, but... Really? Was this necessary?
  • The day is a nightmare, alpha Marco tries to sabotage my work every chance he gets, but I think I can handle it. I feel less fear and more annoyance each time.
  • -We have too many attacks in the packs...
  • -The Council has to help us, put an end to this - I heard them say as I passed by. I thought they were my ideas, but I felt Sebastian's gaze wherever I went.
  • -So... What are you going to wear? - Mariela asked dreamily leaning on the bar.
  • -What am I going to wear for what? - I asked while drying the glasses. I was so anxious that I looked for anything to do just to keep busy.
  • -For the party, silly! It's today... - she said excitedly.
  • -Oh, damn... - I said out loud.
  • -I would wear that red dress we bought together... it has a nice neckline, you know... the one that makes you look like a mermaid. Curves, curves, curves - she said winking at me.
  • -I have no intention of going... my brothers are at home, so I want to stay with them... - I said and suddenly, Gaby passed by.
  • -I'm sorry girls... the mayor just called me to ask if we could help serve at the party. I know you've been working very hard, but it will only be a few days and the pay is really good - he said, and I wanted to die.
  • My face fell while my friend's practically shone with joy. Now my nightmare not only didn't end but extended.
  • We started moving towards the place where events were held, there was a lot of hustle and bustle in this preparation.
  • I was one of the few who stayed in the restaurant with the last things, when someone surprised me in one of the hallways. And my heart skipped a beat when I realized it was Marco.
  • -Look what we have here... the lying girl, tell me... How does it feel to be kicked out of one of the most important packs in the region...? And end up working as a filthy servant? - he said, approaching me, practically cornering me in the hallway.
  • "It's a dignified job and I'm surrounded by good people... it's much more than I can say about my life before," I tell him as I hear him growl.
  • "Human beings really don't have survival instincts... you're an ungrateful creature," he said, now practically leaning on me. His body pressed against mine and his gaze frightened me.
  • "Let me go..." I said, trembling now, and he laughed, moving even closer.
