Chapter 4 Meeting

  • Sebastian
  • Sebastian had grown even more, and unlike my case, he had become even more attractive. He had magnificent dark hair and his blue eyes practically sparkled.
  • Lucia was tanned and ridiculously muscular, his shirt could barely close and I could see tattoos protruding from his neck and chest. Basically, he was a model. Mariela was right... he was like a Greek god.
  • By the moon goddess in the sky... he was much taller than the rest and walked knowing he was an important, strong, and attractive man. I had to contain a slight gasp just from seeing him. I could imagine Mariela's eyes popping out.
  • Of course, this had to happen... I should have seen it coming. Are you stupid Tatiana or what? If all the packs from this region were going to come... Midnight had to come.
  • As soon as Sebastian saw me... I noticed his puzzled face. He definitely didn't expect me to be here... and the expression he had was one of annoyance and even disgust.
  • I felt myself trembling and when he approached me, I took several steps back in terror. Images of him dragging me out of the territory and leaving me in the middle of the night in the forest... appeared in my head again.
  • "You... here..." he said as if he saw his worst enemy. His voice was deep and I felt a shiver.
  • He looked me up and down and I could see that his eyes darkened, it seemed as if he was avoiding breathing to not smell me. It seemed like he only reacted when his beta, his right-hand man David, spoke to him.
  • "Thank you... we will go to our spot," the beta said. Sebastian was tense and couldn't stop looking at me, turning around constantly. I continued calling the rest of the alphas, but I was shocked and nervous.
  • Of course, one of the most powerful packs also appeared. Marco Razzio... when I saw him walking, his blonde hair and something about him... I knew. I had always wondered who could have caused the fires.
  • But now... after so many years, I had my suspicion. Those wolves had light fur, and I could see he was the blondest of them all here. Could it be possible?
  • I remember hearing Marina say that the Razzios were very close friends with the Mardens. Marcos and Sebastian should be more than acquaintances. Two future alphas.
  • But what could I do? If I said something... they might kill me right here.
  • And one may be a weak human... it was better to be careful. Better they say I ran away, than I died here.
  • "Oh, but look who we have here, the chubby and lying human..." he whispered to me with a wicked smile, swinging a glass of wine in his hand.
  • When suddenly he threw it right at me, splashing my face and uniform with the reddish substance. I blinked in terror as the rest of the alphas didn't even bother hiding their laughter.
  • "You will always be disgusting... but I'll give you reasons to bathe," he said and walked away laughing. I cleaned my face and my chest heaved.
  • Something told me that the other alphas knew: the silly human who ruined the Midnight pack. The chubby girl who lied and was kicked out. They had saved me from death in the forest... and I bit the hand that fed me.
  • I went to the bathroom in despair, almost trembling and unable to hold back my tears. My nightmare had returned in the worst way possible - I couldn't believe my bad luck!
  • "Come on Tati... they have nothing to do with you and can't hurt you again. They'll have their meeting and leave as if nothing happened and you won't see them again," I told myself.
  • As I was leaving, I bumped into Gaby, who seemed to be looking for me.
  • "Are you okay, dear?" she asked, looking concerned and taking my face in her hands. How could I explain? I had shared little about my past, only saying that I had fled from a dysfunctional family and evil parents.
  • "Yes, I'm fine..."
  • "My dear! But look at how your uniform has turned out... come, I think I have a spare one," she said, taking my hand.
  • As she handed me the uniform, I feared it wouldn't fit me.
  • "I just think that..."
  • "Please just try it on... now the employers are asking for our help with some things. I promise I'll give you a magnificent bonus, Tati," she said, and we had already agreed that I owed everything to this woman, so there was nothing to be done.
  • From the moment I put on the piece, I knew this was not going well. The skirt was too tight and short, very short. The shirt barely closed, how am I going to go out like this in front of all of them?
  • Sebastian had already looked at me with hatred, and I could almost swear that the rest of the alphas would laugh at the fact that I once belonged to his pack.
  • But honestly... why should I care? He is nothing to me, and I am not important to them. They probably don't even remember me. That's... that's what I had to think.
  • "To hell with Sebastian Marden..." I said aloud as I adjusted myself as best as I could and fixed my hair.
  • When suddenly the bathroom door opened and I thought it might be Gaby or maybe Mariela... but I found myself face to face with Sebastian, who was staring at me, taking in my outfit and breathing heavily.
