• DEVYN’S POV
• After Gina was done with Diana, just before we left her apothecary, Diana asked me to stay back for a private chat with her. Gina and Kristen were already out the door, but Gina glanced back briefly, our eyes meeting, before she left.
• I stood by the counter, while Diana remained in the room behind the curtains. While waiting for her to be done with whatever she was doing, I scanned around the room. Her black cat leaped onto the counter, and when my gaze met its eyes, it arched its back and hissed. In response, I glared and snarled, causing it to run away again.
