Chapter 37 Rejections

• When I carefully open my eyes again, I look at a clean white ceiling.
• “Hey beauty. You were suddenly gone. What happened?" I hear a voice next to my bed. When I turn my head I see the Head Warrior I had met when I arrived in the pack. Cleo is his name. I give a watery smile and try to sit up but my head is spinning.
• A woman in white approaches me, helps me sit up and places a pillow on my back. “I'm Irene, the pack doctor”, she introduces herself. “I've examined you and there's really nothing wrong with your body. You passed out from an acute shock. I gave you a sedative so you could get some rest. So now you should be all right again.” I nod and smile gratefully. She grabs her bag and immediately leaves the room, leaving me with Cleo.
