- I stood there, beyond shocked, as Linda's words echoed through the room. Part of me wanted to step in and put an end to this madness. But another part, the part still hurting from the insults and jealousy, held me back.
- Linda's voice broke the tense silence, each word filled with arrogance and spite. "Well, 'Adam'? Cat got your tongue? Or are you finally realizing that your little game is up?"
