• After the call with Finn and everything that happened, I turned my attention to Aria. She gripped the side of her hospital bed tightly, her knuckles turning white, her face drained of all colour. Her eyes, lost, kept drifting towards the door, as if Dante might walk through it any second, somehow alive and well.
• I reached out, gently guiding her back on the bed, helping her settle until her head was resting comfortably on the pillow.
