• My heart hammered under my ribcage while my mind rendered me helpless in my own skin. The organ pushed the scenes forward in fast agonizing bits, making me close my eyes tightly. My hands went straight to my belly, a reminder of how the life I harboured had been created. My legs buckled but the alpha held me tightly, saving me from a fall.
• 'Hey. ' I could hear his deep but soft voice calling me from a far, but the ringing in my ears only intensified the more he talked to me. The memory gripped me, paralysed my thoughts, with it bringing a nauseating feeling that I couldn't shake off. I could feel alpha Silas hands roaming over my body, making the contents in my stomach stir. I shakily lifted my hand and grasped my tightening throat. I wanted to stop the burning feeling that bile was leaving behind as it erupted.
