Chapter 16 Viper's Den

• For the past three days, I had been attending exotic dance rehearsals, and I still couldn’t believe I had found myself dancing on a pole while wearing nothing but lingerie. It felt surreal and slightly humiliating, but I pushed those thoughts aside. I had to do this for Quinn. I had to see it through. Before my brother died, I promised him that I would protect his mate no matter what and I’m not the type to break any promises.
• Tonight was the last rehearsal, and as I walked back to my hotel room afterward, I felt a strange mix of exhilaration and dread. I was happy that my plans were finally settling into motion but I also felt a slight fear because I didn’t exactly know what to expect once I was inside Mason’s turf.
