Chapter 8 Blizzard Mercenaries
- The horse was fast—blisteringly so. In just under half a day, Alexander had already reached a small town on the edge of the wilderness.
- This place was called Sanvo Town. Tucked against the looming Sanvo Mountain, it saw an endless flow of people passing through every day.
- Alexander hopped off his horse and strode into town.
- Sanvo Town was packed, a buzzing sea of people. It was alive with noise and chaos.
- But beneath the surface, danger lurked.
- The town was a magnet for thrill-seekers and bounty hunters looking to head into the mountain to hunt beasts. Here, the strongest ruled, and everyone else just had to deal with it. It was a lawless mess.
- Murder and theft? Pretty much everyday business.
- Alexander walked towards the center of Sanvo Town. Along the way, he saw all kinds of people.
- Ragtag mercenaries in worn-out armor, rogue experts with eyes sharp as knives, and well-dressed rich brats from wealthy families, draped in silk and embroidery, flanked by their personal guards.
- There were also many beautiful women standing in front of houses. They were all dressed elegantly and charmingly.
- When Alexander left the family, he had already learned that he could accept bounties in a pavilion in downtown Sanvo Town.
- Most of these bounties were issued by nobles in Osselburg or even the Mospary Dynasty.
- Most of the bounties were about finding special herbs strange demonic beast from Sanvo Mountain.
- The price of the bounty was very high. Alexander thought that it was not bad to complete some bounties while training himself in the wilderness.
- At the end of the day, he was not forced to complete the bounties.
- However, when Alexander reached the central pavilion of Sanvo Town, he was stopped by two mercenaries.
- These two mercenaries were both around 30 years old. Their expressions looked mean and ruthless.
- They stared at Alexander and said impatiently, "Where did this kid come from? Don't you know the rules? You have to pay us Blizzard Mercenaries for three low-grade sacred stones before entering the pavilion of bounties!"
- "Really?" Alexander looked puzzled.
- However, in the next moment, many people around them started talking.
- A person said, "Another new kid is going to be scammed. However, that can't be helped. Who can afford to offend the Blizzard Mercenaries?"
- Alexander heard the whispers in the crowd. He knew that the two mercenaries who stopped him were basically robbing him.
- He thought, Indeed, the weak are destined to be bullied. Strength is the only rule.
- Then, he suddenly stared at the two people in front of him with a cold gaze and said, "Move!"
- Without waiting for their response, Alexander walked straight into the Bounty Pavilion.
- One of the mercenaries said, "Brat, how dare you!"
- The other one said, "Capture him! Bring him back to the camp and make his family pay to redeem him!"
- The two mercenaries roared and revelaed their power.
- They were all at the Level three of Physical Realm.
- "Get lost!" However, as Alexander shouted coldly, a surging golden internal energy erupted from his body.
- The powerful wave instantly sent the two mercenaries flying and they fell to the ground.
- "What?" Seeing this sudden scene, the surrounding onlookers turned pale with fright.
- A second ago, they were still mourning for the tragic things that might happen to Alexander soon. In the next second, Alexander sent two mercenaries flying.
- The mercenaries were lying on the ground with blood flowing out of the corners of their mouths. They stared at Alexander, their eyes filled with horror.
- "If you dare to provoke me again, I won't hold back." Alexander snorted coldly and walked into the Bounty Pavilion.
- "This kid is only Level one of Physical Realm. How can he have such a powerful internal energy? We can't even get close to him!" The two mercenaries looked at each other with deep shock in their eyes.
- In the Bounty Pavilion, Alexander accepted three bounty missions. They were to find three special spiritual herbs.
- The bounty was a total of 100,000 dollars. To Alexander, it was a huge sum of money.
- He did not stay in Sanvo Town for too long. He walked out of the town and walked towards the desolate forest of Sanvo Mountain.
- Just as Alexander left Sanvo Town and disappeared into the mountains and forests, the two mercenaries who were sent flying by Alexander stared at Alexander's back with vicious eyes.
- They did not seem to have given up. Instead, they hated Alexander even more.
- A mercenary said, "We have to think of a way to take revenge."
- The other mercenary's expression was terrible. "The Blizzard Mercenaries is our only backup, but the leader won't offend this genius for such a small matter."
