- A small peck to my forehead had me squirming in the bed, and my eyes slipped open. Hovering over me was Gerald's loving face with a gaze that caused my stomach to jerk and a smile that beat the sun at brightening up my day. Instinctively, I smiled and sat up, leaning on my elbows, and I slowly placed a dry kiss on his lips.
