• I shuddered as I got out of the car, flinching at the cold evening breeze that'd blew harshly against my skin. I headed for the porch. Once I unlocked the door, I got in, heaving a sigh of relief. The house was as warm and as cozy as I hoped it'd be.
• I closed the door behind me , and then walked upstairs to our room, giving myself a mental note to put on a sweater or something since I was cold and shivering.
