Chapter 127 Effortless Grace
- The sweet breeze of early morning carried with it a sense of realization, mingled with a hint of bitterness, as it brushed against my cheeks, rousing me from my slumber. I sat up in bed, the bedsheets wrapped around me, and as I tossed them aside, I remembered the events of the previous night and my weary return home.
- With a sigh, I slipped out of bed and made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. After dressing in my college uniform and gathering my belongings, I glanced over at the gown Mrs. George had kindly lent me. Retrieving it from where I had hung it the night before, I ran my fingers over its embellished surface, appreciating its beauty. Holding it up to my neck, I studied my reflection in the mirror, memories of the prom night flashing before my eyes. With a sense of gratitude, I carefully folded the gown and set it aside.
- I couldn't express enough gratitude for Mrs. George's kindness and generosity, and I resolved to repay her efforts with a formal thank-you gesture. It was time to acknowledge the mess I had created and take steps to rectify it.
