Chapter 10 Apologies

• In the following days, despite the fact that the cast members ignored Jasmine under Rhonda's assistant's pressure, she successfully completed the filming.
• However, not all crew members were superficial. Garey, who had lent Jasmine a hairdryer before, was very kind to her.
• After a few days, the two became acquainted with each other.
• The cold treatment Jasmine received infuriated Garey.
• However, Jasmine didn't really mind how others treated her. She was busy learning the roles.
• In the past few years, although she was talented and skilled in singing and dancing, she had never delved into the acting profession.

• "Who is it?" Jasmine asked curiously.
• "You'll find out when you get here. Meet me at Eden Restaurant at 7 p.m."
• "Okay!" Jasmine agreed. Her elder brother was keeping her in suspense.
• At 7 p.m, Jasmine arrived at Eden Restaurant on time, but she didn't see Karl anywhere.
• Sitting in the private room was an incredibly handsome man.
• Dressed in a well-fitted black suit, it accentuated his refined features and upright posture.
• He looked young but had a carefree and elegant temperament. His captivating almond eyes exuded a unique charm.
• What a stunning man!
• As a fan of good-looking men, Jasmine exclaimed in her heart.
• Although her brothers had already heightened her taste in men, this man truly amazed her.
• "Hello, Ms. Harper," the man stood up and greeted Jasmine with a friendly smile.
• "Oh! Hello!" Jasmine was about to leave, but she stopped and curiously asked, "Do you know me?"
• "Yes, allow me to introduce myself. Josh Salinas, I'm the one that asked your elder brother to introduce us." He paused for a moment and had a guilty expression on his face. Josh explained, "Actually, I want to apologise to you! It was me who hit you that night."
• "Oh! So you're the one who put me in the hospital!" Jasmine suddenly realised this.
• "Yes! I'm truly sorry. I just returned to the country that day, and due to jet lag, I wasn't feeling well. Combined with the heavy rain, I couldn't avoid you in time, which caused the accident. Fortunately, you're alright. Otherwise, I would have lived with guilt for the rest of my life."
• A strong sense of guilt appeared on Josh's face.
• Seeing the gorgeous man furrow his brows, Jasmine quickly waved her hand and said, "It's not your fault. Karl said I ran out in the middle of the night. Actually, I've forgotten everything from the past. I just think of it as having a good night's sleep and waking up a few years younger."
• Upon hearing this, Josh smiled and said, "Ms. Harper is indeed as Karl described. You're beautiful and have a good heart. I wonder if I have the honour of getting to know you?"
• Who could resist praise from a man as handsome as Josh?
• Jasmine knew she couldn't resist his charm. Therefore, she quickly agreed, "Of course!"
• "Then tonight, I'll treat Ms. Harper to a meal as an apology," Josh said, gesturing for Jasmine to take a seat.
• Jasmine couldn't help but laugh. She asked, "Didn't you just return from abroad? Where did you learn to speak so formally? Let's be casual. You can call me Jasmine. I'll call you Josh!"
• Josh sheepishly touched his nose. A blush appeared on his cheeks.
• Jasmine found this man quite interesting. He looked like a fatally attractive man on the outside, but she didn't expect him to have such a lovable personality.
• They enjoyed a meal together. Both found the dinner happy and content.
• They chatted about various topics, unexpectedly finding themselves in perfect harmony.
• Jasmine learned that Josh had been living abroad since he was ten and rarely returned to Celestria. This time, he came back to take over the family business.
• His family was in the luxury goods business and had a high reputation in the industry.
• Jasmine owned several valuable pieces of jewellery, all of which were from the family.
• Josh immediately took out an emerald necklace and gave it to Jasmine as a gift.
• Jasmine couldn't refuse and had to accept it.
• After dinner, Josh suggested taking a walk. The two strolled along the streets.
• "Actually, my family isn't only involved in the jewellery business but also in the movie production industry. If you need it, I can provide better resources for you," Josh offered.
• "It's okay. You don't have to." Jasmine quickly waved her hand and stuck out her tongue. "I promised my brother that I would make a name for myself in the industry with my own abilities. I can't go back on my word. Besides, I'm enjoying the process of learning slowly."
• Josh squinted his eyes and praised, "You're very ambitious!"
• "Of course!" Jasmine proudly spun around.
• Just then, a hand suddenly reached out from the side and snatched Jasmine's bag. A man quickly ran past her.
• Jasmine almost fell to the ground, but luckily, Josh was quick to catch her.
• "Oh no! The emerald you gave me is still in the bag," Jasmine exclaimed.
• "Forget it ... " Before Josh could finish, Jasmine had already rushed out like a gust of wind.
• "Jasmine!" Josh quickly chased after her.
• The robber looked back and saw that Jasmine had already caught up with him.
• He cursed quietly. The couple dressed very extravagantly, indicating that they didn't care about money. Who would have thought they could chase after him so quickly?
• He quickly withdrew his gaze and increased his speed, trying to shake off Jasmine. Unexpectedly, Josh suddenly appeared from the front and kicked his leg. That attack caused the robber to fall to the ground.
• Josh immediately pinned him down. The robber cried out in pain.
• Jasmine stopped running. She placed her hands on her hips and panted.
• "Hurry, Josh, check if everything is still there," she urged.
• Josh crouched down, picked up the bag, and handed it to Jasmine.
• "Thank goodness, everything is here," Jasmine exclaimed, patting her chest in relief and flashing a bright smile.
• Her smile momentarily captivated Josh.
• He gazed at her and remarked, "Actually, it wouldn't have mattered if you had lost it. I could have given you another one. You don't have to risk your life for it."
• "But it's different!" Jasmine caught her breath and waved her hand. "This is the first thing you've ever given me. How could I lose it?"
• Josh's heart softened in that moment.
• "Let's go! Let's take him to the police station," Jasmine declared.
• The robber pleaded for mercy, "Beautiful lady, I know I was wrong. Please give me another chance! I promise to start over."
• "Bah! You're lying!"
