After bidding goodbye to her mother and brother, Samantha retreated to her room, her mind swirling with conflicting emotions. As she closed the door behind her, she leaned against it, taking a deep breath to steady herself.
It had been an emotional day, reuniting with her family after so many years apart. While she was overjoyed to see her mother and brother again, there was still a lingering sense of pain and resentment towards her father for the way he had treated them.
