Chapter 3
- Zanaya's POV
- "And the winner is..." I held Tokyo's hand tighter as we wait for the announcement for the winner. It was our first nomination and our performance had just ended. Both of our songs are nominated for the top 1.
- To be honest, we were not really expecting to win. Performing on stage is more than enough. We know we have to work really hard to achieve success in this field. But of course, deep inside, I'd feel like it will be such an honor if we do.
- Right?
- "WHISTLE's Hope!" my heart jumped a little when I heard the MC's announced our group's name.
- My mind went blank even after the MC had given us our trophy and a bouquet of flowers.
- This is so insane. I mean, we just debuted thirteen days ago and now, we already have our first crown.
- I tried my best not to cry as Max gave a speech thanking our fans, our BP family, our composer and everyone we should be thanking for.
- I had to cover my face when Cali spoke on the mic. I swear to God she's almost on the verge of crying.
- I tried to pull up my emotions. Though a voice inside says I might start crying if we don't make this fast. I look around and bowed as many people congratulate us including our seniors in the industry.
- After our encore stage, that's when I lost it. I started crying. I can't help it. I was actually the crybaby in the group.
- "Yah, Zanaya, stop crying." Tokyo cooed at me but my tears won't stop. Soon enough, the four of us started crying in the dressing room, our manager getting teary-eyed as well.
- "Hey, stop it." our manager said. "You're ruining your makeup."
- "Manager," California said as she wipes away her tears.
- Our manager gave us our phone and Cali had snapped a picture of us with a trophy and immediately sends it to our boss.
- After that, I grab my phone and scanned my messages. I have a lot from my dad, my mom, and my sister.
- I smiled. I'm so glad to have a loving family.
- My brows furrowed when I saw another message from an unknown number.
- Unknown: I need to see you. Mom and Dad will come over and they want to have dinner with us.
- My heart started beating like crazy.
- There is only one person who would text me like that.
- Seth Devon
- My eyes roll when I remember how I actually deleted his number that one time that he had drunk message me calling me names.
- I hated him so much.
- It was just a month after we got married. I was so pissed that I deleted his number. Since then, he never really sent me a message nor bother me.
- It was when we recorded for our debut stage that I first saw him again after we got married.
- Weird, right?
- I sigh. I decided to text him back.
- Me: When and where?
- I had to ask because I know we both have schedules. Plus, the media will definitely have a field day once they both caught us together.
- It wasn't even a minute that my phone had beep indicating that I received a new message.
- Unknown: They will arrive next Friday and they will be staying for a week so I rented a house for them.
- Me: Ow
- Unknown: Make sure to clear your schedule for a day.
- I raised my left eyebrow. Demanding much huh? But I responded anyway.
- Me: okay. Just text me the address whenever.
- Then I put my phone in my pocket as me and the girls walked out heading to our van.
- Once we were out, we were greeted by our fans.
- Yes, we already have fans and I can't even believe it.
- Max grabbed my hands as we move a little faster so we can go inside our van.
- Tokyo and Cali went ahead of us.
- I can barely make out what our fans were screaming but one particular fan had caught my attention. Actually, it is what she said that startled me.
- "Zanaya, I ship you with Seth!!!"
- "That was insane!" Tokyo exclaimed as she clasped her hands together. She looks so cute.
- "I know right? I can never get used to this" Max added.
- "How about we record a video later so we can thank our fans?" California suggested.
- "That's actually a good idea." I nodded.
- Then, we focus our attention back to our phones. Max and Tokyo were both checking the comments on Youtube.
- Since almost every one of us is fluent in other languages, we enjoy reading the opinion of our fans, regardless if it's bad or good.
- I believe accepting constructive criticism will help us develop.
- I unlocked my phone when I noticed that I have one unread message.
- Unknown: Btw, congrats on your first win. The boys had been watching you.
- Again, my brows furrowed. Is this really Seth Devon? Because I'm not used to him being like this.
- I can still remember when we bicker back and forth after our wedding.
- We stayed in my room for our "honeymoon" but I made him sleep on the couch while I stay in bed.
- I was sure he was texting someone but I don't even care.
- I almost dropped my phone on my lap in shock when I received a new message.
- The girls looked at me weirdly.
- "My cousin said something weird so, yeah" I smiled to them awkwardly.
- They went back to what they were doing.
- Unknown: Also, Happy Anniversary.
- Then I remembered, it is our first wedding anniversary today. I totally forgot about it and it's weird that he actually remembered.
- Seth Devon, what's with the greeting and the sudden messages?
- Why are you acting a little differently?
- Please don't make my heart waver. I don't need that right now. I repeatedly tell to myself.
- But who am I kidding?
