Chapter 2 Fight
- Just as Sabastian wanted to leave, Edward grabbed his arm and held his neck, pressing his back against the nearest wall.
- Sabastian was caught unaware when Edward grabbed him, but he struggled to free himself from Edward's hold, his eyes red due to the chokehold on his neck.
- He kicked Edward on his groine, causing him to let go of Sabastian immediately, clutching onto his groine in pain.
- “ I told you never to lose guard, didn't I?” Sabastian has a smirk on his face.
- “ Stop! Stop! What's going on here!” Mr Ethan yelled, walking to the scene.
- “ Boss, it's this…. it's him!” Edward fired, pointing towards Sabastian who remained quiet.
- He was ready to let go of everything, but he just couldn't watch Edward choose him to death, not when he was already seeing the gate of Hades before him, while he was being choked.
- “ I don't want to hear a word from any of you. To my office right now!”
- Mr Edward yelled and walked away immediately, the two followed behind him.
- Sabastian was sad inside of him.
- It was just some minutes ago when he got an incentive from Mr Ethan as the best worker in his bar, and now, he was being summoned for fighting.
- He hated the feeling.
- ‘I just hope he doesn't fire me from my job. I just can't afford to lose it, not this time.’ Sabastian thought within himself and took a short glance at Edward who was glaring daggers at him.
- If looks could kill, Sabastian would have been six feet below the ground.
- He rolled his eyes and looked away.
- Upon getting into Mr Edward's office, the old man sat on his seat behind his desk and faced the both of them.
- “ What happened, Sabastian?” Mr Ethan asked, his gaze fixed on Sabastian's.
- “ He started it sir —” Edward chimed in.
- “ I wasn't asking you, Edward.” Mr Ethan said slowly and Edward knew better, so he shut his mouth immediately.
- “ After we met, I was about to leave since I had done Edward's shift, but he came and asked me why I did his shift. I told him that today is my wife's birthday so I wanted to get her a gift, but he began to call my wife names. I couldn't stand it but at the same time, this job meant so much to me….” Sabastian exhaled sharply before continuing.
- “ I warned him that the next time he calls my wife names, words won't explain what I will do to him. After that, I turned to leave, but because he was embarrassed and angry, he grabbed my neck and choked me. I was almost dying so I had to kick his middle so he could let go of me.” Sabastian narrated, leaving no stone unturned.
- After hearing Sabastian's side of the story, Mr Ethan turned his gaze to Edward whose head hung low, indicating that what Sabastian said was the truth.
- “ I guess you have nothing to say. Sabastian was telling the truth, wasn't he?” Mr Ethan raised a brow while Edward slowly nodded.
- “ But sir…..I just couldn't contain my anger….he…he…” Edward had no words to say, so he began to stutter, attempting to justify his actions.
- He hates the fact that Mr Ethan favours Sabastian only.
- “ Why are you slowly becoming a bully, Edward? He covered your shift because of his wife's birthday, and moreover, you came 9am instead of 6am, am I lying?” Mr Ethan raised a brow, his gaze fixed on Edward.
- “ No, Boss.”
- “ Good, instead of thanking him for saving your ass from getting fired, you went ahead to pick a fight with him. I'll let you off with a warning this time. Trust me, I'm not that kind enough to forgive you next time.” Mr Ethan warned sternly, his voice cold and his eyes filled with anger.
- “ Yes, Boss.” Edward replied, his head hung low, as he fidgeted with the top of his shirt.
- “ You shouldn't apologise to me because I'm not the one you choked. What if he had passed out when you were choking him? What will become of my club? You better apologise to him now!” Mr Ethan said sternly, and Edward slowly raised his head to look at Sabastian.
- He was definitely angry that he had to apologise to Sabastian, but he had no option at that moment.
- His job was in line.
- “ I'm sorry, Sabastian. I didn't know what came over me. I hope you can forgive me and we can become buddies.”
- Edward suddenly smiled, not a genuine one and Sabastian could see right through him, so he decided to play along, trying not to make Mr Ethan sense any foul play among them.
- “ I'm also sorry for making you afraid. Never knew you could be afraid of me.”
- Sabastian muttered the last part of his sentence but Edward clearly heard him, causing him to grit his teeth in anger.
- Once they've settled, well, that was what Mr Ethan thought, they both left his office.
- Once the door to Mr Ethan’s office was shut, they immediately glared at each other.
- “ Watch your back, I'm coming for you.” Edward gritted his teeth, pointing at Sabastian who said nothing.
- “ I thought we'd already settled this matter, Edward. Why don't you accept defeat and lower your pride?” Sabastian said sincerely.
- He wasn't trying to pick a fight but to tell Edward the truth, but he wasn't ready to listen.
- “ Trust me, I will deal with you so much that you will regret ever talking back to me.” Edward glared.
- “ you might end up in the prison with this major of yours.”
- Sabastian muttered and tried walking away, but Edward grabbed his shoulder, folding it in his hand, causing Sabastian to wince in pain.
- “ Let go of me, now!” Sabastian gritted his teeth, his fists folded and his eyes red with anger.
- It was taking the last strength in him not to punch Edward on the face.
- All other customers and workers in the bar turned to watch the scene between the both of them.
- Embarrassed, Edward let go of Sabastian's shoulder and leaned closer.
- “ This is just the beginning of your suffering, Sabastian. I will make this bar a living hell for you.”
- He walked away after speaking, a smirk dancing at the corner of his lips.
