Chapter 155 Welcome Home
- Annie
- There are so many things that I simply would take for granted before I was ripped from my home and my loved ones. Waking up in my own bed wrapped up in Daniel's arms as I feel Baxter's furry body against my feet is one of them. There was a time not so long ago when I feared I'd never be able to feel this way again and I'm not going to take any of it for granted. There is still a threat coming after me and my family and I'm going to do everything I can to protect what's mine.
- I don't usually wake before Daniel but I guess things are different now. I'm not the same naive girl I once was. I watch as the morning sun casts shadows across his olive skinned face and I resist the urge to reach out and stroke the lines and curvature of his rigid jawline. As I'm studying his features his eylashes flutter open and he peers at me with his dark eyes silently for a moment before he takes in the image of my face and light finding its way into his irises. "Good morning Little American." He says with a soft smile playing on his lips, his early morning voice sounding gravelly and strong even as he's barely had time to wake up properly.
