Chapter 2: First Phase Of The Advanced Tech Training
- “FORWARD MATCH!!” Haywoode yelled to the squires as they did their daily morning parade drills. Haywoode is the best squire out of all the squires that enter the training facilities. He had great leadership, marksmanship, and fighting abilities.
- He was dark-skinned and muscular. He stood out from the rest of squires standing about 6’2,” as he led them through the parade grounds.
- He is standing on the side of the parade grounds with a batch of knights in Camelot military uniform. Behind the knights was Knight Captain Reede, the leader of this military base has he watched the squires do their drills.
- Once the squires finished their drills, Reede stood up and faced the squires. “Good morning, squires.”
- “Good morning, Knight Captain,” they yelled in reply.
- “I know that everyone is excited to start the advanced tech training. We will be starting it today but let me give a piece of advice. “Don’t get too excited, because what you experience before was nothing compared to what you are about to experience.
- There is no time for pampering you magots. This training is two years early, so I expect for everyone to two years more competent and ready to go. Now, the next three months will be rigorous training. I expect all of you to complete this training and become Knights of Camelot. Now are you Knights of Camelot!”
- “Sir yes sir!” The squires shouted to their knight captain.
- “This training will not be the usual training that we do,” the knight captain said with a stern face.
- “The government is going to supply everyone with standard guns and bullets. Now, get prepared because everyone is going to the forest. The first phase of advanced training is to survive for five days in CreepyWillow Forest.”
- “Now, don’t think that you can go there to relax and sleep, because the government left some presents for everyone. They personally provided genetically modified predators, that is more dangerous than anything you have ever faced.”
- “Now, your implant may boost you in various ways, but these predators are boosted as well. Don’t be hopeless, because once the three months are over, the survivors from three hundred squires we have here today will be given benefits that you didn’t expect.”
- “Good luck squires. You have thirty minutes to prepare for deployment. Do not bring any accessories with you only your military gear.” The Knight Captain reminded them before they left.
- “It is going to be exciting time for you. Your three months of suffering begins now,” he said, as a grin slowly morphed on his face.
- “Dismissed!!”
- “Sir yes sir!”
- …
- “Damn! Aledos, we are heading to CreepyWillow Forest alone. I can’t believe they want to kill us. What the hell?” Kalen blurted out, as he opened his door into his room.
- “Stop whining will you. It will be fine. We will survive this,” Aledos replied.
- “How do you think we will survive this? There is no way it is possible.”
- “There is no guarantee, but it is not a sure way to death. Calen don’t think I don’t notice you. If you really want to, you could be the top squire in the group. But now you are whining about going to the forest for training. Chill out man.” Aledos said in a slightly provocative tone.
- “I know. My goal is to be the greatest knight that every lived and help our country become ally with any of the big five, but man you know I still must be rational. You know what I mean.” Kalen replied with a grin.
- “I know you are the greatest, Kalen. Now tell me how we are going to survive this training.” Aledos asked?
- “I say we go in kick ass and survive so we can serve our country.” Kalen said while giving Aledos that why are you asking stupid questions.
- “Alright you say so. Let’s just be careful out there. Can we go eat now?” Aledos ignored his friend’s expression, while diverting the conversation to another topic.
- “Let’s go eat.”
- There was not much to prepare for the mission. So Aledos and Kalen forgot about their conversation and got some food. After eating they both returned to the parade field.
- …
- Kalen nudged his friend. “He is coming.”
- Aledos just stared at his friend like what the hell look.
- “Alright squires, you will be divided into groups of ten,” Knight Captain Reede didn’t waste any time as he started giving out instructions for everyone.
- “Every group will be assigned a Knight Sergeant to lead. Now, follow the Knight Sergeant to your designated helicopter. You will be dropped in segments, one by one. Good luck.”
- Kalen and Aledos was placed in the same group. It was only temporary, but Kalen rejoiced as they had a little time to talk. “Aledos, why was you talking to Haywoode about?” Kalen asked his friend leaning in close.
- “To wish us good luck. Brother, come closer. You would not believe what Haywoode has told me. It is shocking.” Aledos exclaimed.
- Kalen lean in closer to Aledos.
- “Dude, Haywoode told me the real reason why our advanced tech training was pushed forward. It’s because of the Republic of Gaul is trying to invade our country as again. It changes plans for the government.”
- “I hate those Gaul bastards.” Kalen burst out in hatred. His overflowing hatred was without basis, because he had a huge beef with the Republic of Gaul.
- “Aledos, I promise you if this information is true. I am going to prove myself during training, so I can fight these bastards. I am fired up for this training. I am going to survive this training.”
- “I feel the same way Kalen. Good luck my brother,” Aledos said as he understood his friend’s feelings.
- “You as well.”
- Kalen and Aledos walked over to their military helicopter and to meet their escort.
- Knight Sergeant Langley was a young knight sergeant that had a lot of battle experience within the army.
