• Crono followed the guard out of the mansion, skirting it silently. As he reached the entrance, he stopped abruptly when he came upon a scene that startled him. Two beasts with children on them. Ajax and Psyche, crying inconsolably, under the bewildered gaze of the guards. Crono advanced cautiously, his heart racing at the mixture of curiosity and suspicion flooding his thoughts.
• "Crono asked in a firm voice, though a feeling of unease settled in his gut. Métis's gaze met his, and in her eyes was an anger that caught Crono's attention.
