• Sirius’s laughter consumes the entire room. Heat pulses under my skin. Claudia white knuckles her silverware in frustration, but Sirius finds amusement in all of this. “You want Elise to be our shared mistress?”
• Claudia’s nostrils flare, and her lips purse to the side, “If she must be in everything then I do not see a reason why we cannot share her.”
• The stubby old woman from earlier comes back in a clears the beef stews with a small brown haired boy following after her laying out silverware for dessert. The only woman clears her throat standing off to the side.
