Chapter 15 Sirius's Obsession

My heart pounds as I stare at him, unsure if he’s joking or serious. I don’t dare open the box, instead I look around the restaurant at all the patrons laughing, and carefree, not realizing their death is being counted down.
Ten seconds feel like an eternity. One second is all he needed to remind me that he is not the man I remember him to be, and it is foolish for me to believe I end up seeing glimpses of the same Sirius.
I shake my head in exasperation. “You’re unbelievable,” I mutter. I close my eyes, and bite my bottom lip, until I hear Sirius chuckle.
