Chapter 20 Do You Know Any Of Your Ex Wife's Friends?

Sebastian is coming tomorrow, what a surprising turn of events. From the weekend to tomorrow. I can't contain my excitement. I'm not sure how to handle this upcoming happiness. Am I happy because Sebastian is coming, or is my brain tricking me into happiness due to the news about Marian? That thought alone made me sit down and reflect on what happened to Marian. Ever since the news broke, I've been at home for the three days Lucas gave me off. We haven't seen each other, except for the last time he came over and noticed my coffee can. The way he looked at me felt like he was seeing a glimpse of my former self. However, when I challenged him about resembling his former wife, he couldn't respond. I sensed confusion on his face. There's no way I look exactly like the woman he used to know. I can't deny the fact that we bear a resemblance, though. What am I even saying? I burst out laughing in my mind, not realizing when I started laughing out loud. I walked over to the standing mirror in my room and playfully widened my eyes and hands as I asked,
"Are you not Aurora? The daughter of Cain, and..."
