Chapter 17 I Can't Sleep

• Lucas' pov
• It's in the middle of the night and yet, I could not sleep. I have been sitting on the bed all alone. Just like a routine, I go back and relive how the presence of my wife had been. I have been empty since she left and still I laid my eyes on Daisy, I have never been the same. I took my phone and I felt like calling her number. At the same time, I will look at the time and see how the night was.
• “This is the middle of the night. Can't you wait until the next day?” I spoke out. Does love have a neurotic effect? I am restless with my eyes widely opened. Daisy has been rejected for taking her to either a meal or cup of coffee. But the next day, I will be at Daisy's house and tell her how I feel. I can't take this alone. Why can't she even give me a chance in her life? Why is she so concentrated at her work and she doesn't have time for me?
