Chapter 1
- Gloria’s POV
- "She's all yours now, gang rape her."
- I huddled on the ground, listening as the man before me, Black Thorn Pack's Beta Damon, delivered his final orders to the Rogues.
- "What happened to my sister Gabrielle will happen to you," he said, staring at me with a dark intensity, his tone tinged with a hint of bloodthirsty excitement.
- "Gabrielle is my younger sister. She had always been a sweet girl. She had never been to a pub and never gone alone into the rogues’ Shadow Forest. But she was found raped and killed there.”
- "Your mate Alpha Patrick and I checked Gabrielle’s phone together, and we found just before the accident, you called her. Her last message was to you and said, 'I have arrived. Where are you, Gloria?' "
- Damon's eyes were filled with hatred as he glared at me.
- “Damon, please hear me out. I have nothing to do with Gabrielle's death! I need to speak to Alpha Patrick. I....I've got something important to tell Alpha Patrick. Please, I need to see him," I begged.
- "Shut up! You don't get to say her name!"
- He loomed over me, his gaze making me feel like I was nothing but trash.
- Behind him, five Rogues gleamed with excitement, their eyes fixed on me like they had found their prey.
- I knew I had to fight for my life, or I would be torn apart the moment Damon left.
- "My father is the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack and I'm only here to see Alpha Patrick. Are you trying to break the peace between the packs?"
- "Damn what are you stupid Whore, you're Alpha Patrick's mate and don’t you think he can sense that you're here and in danger? You fucking bitch got my sister killed just because you were jealous about Alpha Patrick’s love to my innocent sister, Alpha Patrick wants to kill you more than I do!"
- He didn't linger, turning away towards the Pack house, leaving me stranded in the forest.
- The five Rogues no longer held back, rushing towards me, tearing at my clothes.
- As the daughter of the Silver Spring Pack’s Alpha, I have always got excellent combat training.
- Normally, five Rogues wouldn't pose much of a threat to me. However, after three days and nights without food, I was weak all over, and I didn't have the strength to fight them off.
- I fought with all my might against the five Rogues, longing for my mate, Alpha Patrick, to sense the danger I was in and come to my rescue.
- But he didn't show up. In that moment, I couldn't help but wonder if everything was truly orchestrated by my mate.
- Was he unable to kill me himself, so he sent others to humiliate me?
- "Ah!" My sight grew increasingly blurry, my body engulfed in excruciating pain.
- It felt as though my feet were weighed down by boulders, becoming impossible to lift.
- At that moment, one of the Rogues seized my wrist, his jagged, untrimmed nails piercing deep into my flesh, drawing a long line of blood from my wrist.
- Before I could react, my neck was clamped tightly by another rough, calloused hand.
- A Rogue grabbed me from behind, pinning me tightly and rendering me immobile.
- A hot breath sprayed onto the major artery of my neck. I knew the enemy's fangs were hovering dangerously close to my most vulnerable spot.
- The third Rogue stepped forward and grabbed my legs, pulling forcefully.
- I was stretched out flat on the ground, my legs spread wide apart by them. They wore lecherous smiles on their faces.
- I struggled desperately, but I was weak, and with each attempt to break free, the Rogue's nails on my wrist dug deeper.
- The fourth Rogue couldn't wait any longer and hastily removed his pants, exposing his grotesque manhood in front of me.
- As my legs were held by two other Rogues, he approached me, moistening his repulsive erection with saliva before advancing towards my lower body.
- I gave up my final struggle with a bitter smile. "Gabrielle, you were dead and I became a murderer......”
- “I don't know how you died, but evidently, you were luckier than me. Your brother loved you, and Patrick loved you too..."
- The world in my eyes plunged into darkness, and I felt the nauseating breath of the Rogues drawing closer.
- Just as the Rogue touch my skin, I suddenly felt the strength draining from my neck, wrists, and legs.
- They all released their grip on me, and I lay flat on the ground, staring blankly at the sky, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
- It wasn't until I heard a set of footsteps...
- It was steady and merciless, like the strikes of a death knell.
- Then, I smelt the most pleasant scent in the air.
- I recognized it immediately.
- Then, a pair of black leather boots appeared in my sight.
- It had been raining all day, but there wasn't a single dash of dirt on this pair of boots.
- I immediately recognized who it was - Alpha Patrick, my mate.
- My mind went blank with one question left -
- Is that my death or my mate approaching?
