• Living as a lone wolf in the wilderness with Shaman Magnus Spirit Forge was like a blessing from the moon goddess. Yes, the man who owns the hut I am living in is a shaman; at least that was what he told me, and I believed him because I don’t have any reason whatsoever to doubt him. How he got to know that I was pregnant with a pup without being told was one of the reasons I have to believe him, plus he has been brewing some concoctions for me to drink, which he said would be good for my unborn pup.
• “Are you ready? Let’s go,” Magnus Spirit Forge called out to me from outside the hut. We were preparing to go hunting for food that we would use to survive here in the woods.
