Chapter 16 Missing

She looked up and saw the two men, who had been signalling to Ellen. They were now blocking her path.
One of the men was holding a small puppy. He squatted down and asked with a gentle smile, "Little one, do you like puppies? I have lots of puppies at home. How about you come home with me and play with them?"
Ruby looked up. Her big eyes were rolling around as she spoke. "Child trafficking is punishable by five to ten years in prison, along with fines; in serious cases, it can result in ten years to life imprisonment or even the death penalty, along with confiscation of property. Just so you know."
