• “What did you say?” Alpha Jaxon frowned upon hearing Diana’s words. He undid his buttoned polo shirt and ruffled his hair in agitation. With his movement, the earring from his right ear glinted under the room’s illumination.
• Diana stopped herself from clicking her tongue or rolling her eyes. Instead, she repeated what she said, “We will bring you your mate before the Werewolf Committee get her. If we are late, both of you will suffer an irreversible fate.”
