Chapter 4 Twin Sister

  • Gabrielle's POV
  • “Gabby, are you okay?” I snapped out of my thoughts, and Tracy sat down next to me, placing her hand on my shoulder. “Sis, how long have you been here?”
  • “Not too long. I noticed you seemed moody. Talk to me, what happened? Is it about Father?”
  • “Not at all, sister. I'm feeling better. You don’t need to worry,” I assured her while forcing a smile.
  • I rarely go out. My friend Jane told me that the werewolf world is divided into three packs: Blood Moon Pack, Black Moon Pack, and Silver Moon Pack. In the distant south, there also lives a group of witches. Among the three packs, the Silver Moon Pack is in the weakest position.
  • So, I've always known that my father has a great deal of pressure as an Alpha. In the year I was born, my mother, Luna, was killed by an unknown rogue. My father has always suspected that it was the work of the Blood Moon Pack.
  • My father desires for the Silver Moon Pack to become stronger, and his personality is becoming increasingly irritable, especially when he's around me. He sees me as an ominous presence.
  • “Gabby, have you forgotten who I am? I'm your twin sister, and I know you so well—like the back of my hand. I can tell when something's bothering you.”
  • “Okay, fine. You got me. Yes, Father and I had a little disagreement.”
  • “Father is just angry, Gabby. He truly loves you and doesn't mean the hurtful things he says. After all, you're still his daughter. He could never deny that,” she reassured me, gently running her fingers through my hair.
  • “Thank you, sister. I promise you, one day I'll shift into a wolf and make you proud.”
  • “I'll throw a party for you then. But don't push yourself too hard. I love you just the way you are. You're my sister, and as the Alpha and warrior of the pack, I vow to always protect you.”
  • “You're the best.” We embraced each other before the Beta of the pack interrupted us.
  • “Greetings, Alpha Tracy. Your father requests your presence.”
  • “Gabby, I'll see you later. Take care of yourself and try to avoid sadness.”
  • “I promise.” She kissed my cheek and left with the Beta.
  • I noticed something strange between the two of them. Could something be going on? Maybe I'm overthinking it. Let me go to my room and engage in some activities to feel happier.
  • The following day, I lay on my bed with tears flowing like a river. I regret losing my virginity; that wasn't what I wanted. "We met our mate. I believe he will rescue us from your father and sister," Leah finally broke my silence, allowing me to communicate with my wolf form.
  • "Leah, this is a mistake. He's the notorious Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. That's a double problem. There's no way he'll accept us, and we might become slaves."
  • "What if he does accept us?" Leah inquired again.
  • "Well, even if he does, Father won't accept him. Let's give up the idea and move on with our lives." I finally reached a conclusion, letting go of that regrettable night, although the regret still lingers.
  • I kept everything hidden and continued my habit of staying indoors. The Alpha didn't see my face, so there's no way he could recognize me. But the thought remains, and it keeps making me sad.
  • I love tending to the garden in my home, nurturing the flowers. It's another hobby that brings me joy. The pack members present ignored my greetings and mocked me repeatedly. Tears welled up, but I tried to control them.
  • At night, bitterness filled my heart.
  • I needed to cry, so I went to the manor when I heard moaning sounds. I decided to find out who was engaging in intimacy at this hour. As I approached, the sounds grew louder, and to my shock, I saw Tracy in a compromising situation with our father's Beta. I covered my mouth in disbelief.
  • This is wrong. Why would my sister be involved with the Beta? I can't bear to witness this. What if someone else walks in and sees them?
  • My sister is the future of the Silver Moon Pack. Everyone expects her to marry the most powerful man, just as Father did. She deserves the spotlight, and I can't let anyone discover her relationship with Father's Beta, as it would ruin her reputation.
  • I don't want her to end up on my father's bad side. I'd rather be the one on his wrong side; I'll protect her even if she's not aware of it.
  • I left the place without making a sound. Then I noticed a few maids heading in her direction. I needed to find a way to stop them.
  • I rushed over to them, and despite knowing that they didn't like me, they greeted me. They detest being in my presence. "My sister wants you to clean her room right away."
  • "We'll take care of it immediately." They promptly turned around and hurried to carry out the task.
  • That was easier than I thought. I suppose Tracy is safe now. I hope she finishes the situation quickly. Should I talk to her about it? But now, I'm too shy to express something like that to her. I hope that such a mistake won't happen again.
