• I stared at the gated estate as Nicholas drove in between an array of modern, luxurious houses on both sides. They were separated by walls, each gated and spacious, with multiple street lights. The place seemed to house the richest people in the city. As Nicholas swiped a card outside one of the gates, I couldn't help but stare at him while I fought the warm feeling inside my chest. Two security men approached as he drove inside when the gate automatically opened.
