• With my whole body aching I decided to just accept this punishment, after all, I was held in the hands of the devil himself getting inside that car, and the tears fell as painful as the bruises on my abdomen. Feeling so tired and so fragile, I moved the bench with my foot gaining space to be able to lie sideways feeling the ground permeated by the cold already known of the nights in the street.

Remembering when hunger burned from the inside out and the cold froze the body from the outside in. A stormy conflict as I set up a few pieces of cardboard looking for a safe place to sleep until I finally got a small shelter near the school. It was thanks to a teacher that I was able to stay alive during this period, her kindness in letting me enter the school first to take a shower and get some clothes.
