Chapter 4 Throw Her in the Sea

  • The emerald dragon pendant fell to the ground under Timothy's horrified gaze, shattering on impact.
  • The golden jade pendant broke into pieces, scattering faint glimmers as the sunlight refracted off the shards.
  • Timothy's eyes widened, and a raging fire of fury surged within him.
  • This pendant wasn't just a gift from his mom, meant for the Lawson family's future daughter-in-law, it also held immeasurable potential value.
  • Even though its mysterious power had awakened before his journey, no one knew what other uses it might have had. Now that it was broken, everything was lost.
  • "Well, what trash. It shattered so easily, it's obviously a cheap knockoff. And you treated this worthless junk like some treasure? What a clueless hillbilly!"
  • Hudson sneered, casting a disdainful glance at the fragments on the ground before turning to Claire with a mocking smirk. "Mom, this thing's pure garbage. I think we can just leave it for this loser. Maybe when he's starving, he can trade it for a loaf of bread."
  • "You're f***ing dead!" Timothy couldn't hold back his fury any longer. He lunged forward and grabbed Hudson by the throat, the terrifying force almost snapping his neck. Hudson's eyes rolled back, and his tongue lolled out from the pain.
  • "Loser? Shut up!" Hudson nearly pissed himself in fear. Shock overwhelmed him. Timothy's strength had become so monstrous that, despite years of training in street fighting, Hudson couldn't even resist.
  • Timothy's gaze locked onto Hudson, but at the last second, he forcefully suppressed the urge to kill him.
  • After all, Hudson was still Hannah's brother.
  • Though Timothy and Hannah were divorced, feelings didn't just vanish overnight.
  • Had it been anyone else, Timothy wouldn't have hesitated to snap their neck on the spot.
  • Instead, he released Hudson's throat and slapped his face eighteen times in quick succession, leaving Hudson's swollen, bruised face looking like a pig's head.
  • Only then did Timothy stop.
  • With a final kick, he sent Hudson flying, then pointed at Claire and cursed, "Old hag, take your useless son and get the hell out of my sight forever. From now on, if anyone from the Miller family, including Hannah, dares show up in front of me again, I'll tear you apart with my bare hands!"
  • Claire stood frozen, staring at her disfigured son on the ground. A nameless rage burned through her reason. Ignoring the shattered emerald dragon pendant, she charged at Timothy, swinging her fists wildly. "You b*stard! Do you want to die? How dare you hit my son? I'll kill you today!"
  • "Get lost!" Timothy kicked her away, his eyes cold and deadly. He looked like the grim reaper himself, and Claire, terrified, collapsed in silence.
  • After a long pause, she finally started slapping the ground, wailing, "Murder! Murder! This b*stard takes everything from my family, and now he's bullying me! This is unjust! I can't accept this!"
  • Meanwhile, Hudson, realizing how dangerous Timothy had become, fumbled for his phone. "Hello?"
  • "Henry, bring the guys over. My mom and I just got attacked! Bring everyone, I want this b*stard dead!"
  • In Southonville, Hannah wasn't exactly a celebrity, but as a respected professional, both legitimate businesses and underground forces gave her a fair amount of respect.
  • As her brother, Hudson was naturally someone thugs tried to curry favor with.
  • On his way over, fearing Timothy might escape, Hudson had already called in some gangsters, and now, they proved useful.
  • Soon, a gang of punks on loud motorcycles, their hair dyed every color imaginable, pulled up by the roadside.
  • Leading them was a buzz-cut thug in leather, his body inked with dragons and lions, a typical gang leader.
  • Among the group, only he had a girlfriend clinging to his arm, marking him as the head.
  • "Hey, Hudson, who the hell hurt you? Doesn't everyone in Southonville know you're under Bonecrusher's protection? Someone's got a death wish!"
  • The moment Hudson saw Henry, he instantly felt reassured. His face twisted in a vicious grin as he pointed at Timothy. "It's him! Beat him to death! I'll take care of everything if anything happens!"
  • Henry turned toward Timothy, cracking his knuckles with a sneer. "You? You've really got a f***ing death wish."
  • With that, Henry rolled up his sleeves, squared his shoulders, and threw a punch straight at Timothy's face.
  • "Mr. Henry is amazing!"
  • "This punch contains twenty years of power, kid, I'm just asking if you can handle it!"
  • A group of small-time thugs acted as cheerleaders, shouting and cheering from behind.
  • Bang!
  • However, the only response he got was a kick from Timothy.
  • Under the terrified gaze of the thugs, Henry was kicked ten feet away by Timothy and crashed heavily onto the curb, groaning in pain on the ground.
  • "D*mn, tough guy... Get your weapons, let's go together and chop him down!"
  • Henry's girlfriend saw him get hurt and called for a group of yellow-haired thugs to rush forward and charge at Timothy.
  • "Stop!"
  • At that moment, a convoy sped toward them from the road behind.
  • A tall woman, wearing a tight red long dress, with a stunningly beautiful face, got out of the car.
  • Behind her, a group of bodyguards in suits, muscles bulging, holding baseball bats, guarded her.
  • The sight instantly terrified the group of thugs, who shrank to the side, not daring to speak.
  • "I'll see who dares touch a single hair on Mr. Lawson!" The beautiful woman stepped forward, her high heels making crisp sounds on the ground.
  • With each step, it was like the tolling of a death bell to the onlookers.
  • Claire struggled to get up and stared blankly at the noble-looking woman, asking in confusion, "Mr. Lawson? Miss, you must have mistaken the person!"
  • As for Hudson, ever since the woman got out of the car, he was dumbfounded. When he heard her speak, he quickly ran over, primping his hair. "Miss, there's no Mr. Lawson here, you must have made a mistake! Also, let me introduce myself, I'm Hudson Miller from the Miller family in Froston, Southonville. My sister is Hannah Miller, I'm sure you've heard of her."
  • The red-dressed woman smiled with a slight curve at the corners of her mouth, looking at Hudson as if he were a clown. "The recently rising Miller family in Froston?"
  • Hudson's face lit up with pride: "That's right! If you've heard of us, that's great! By the way, if you're free today, let me take you to dinner. Don't go back tonight, let's get to know each other, and I'll introduce you to Hannah too. We can discuss cooperation or something!"
  • The woman in red laughed coldly, cracked her wrist, and slapped Hudson across the face. "The Miller family is nothing. Even if your sister came, she wouldn't be worthy to polish my shoes. How dare a sc*m like you shout at Mr. Lawson?"
  • Hudson was stunned by the slap, the pain making him almost bite his tongue, humiliation flooding his mind. "You d*mn b*tch! Are you crazy? How dare you hit me? Today, I'll tie you to a bed and teach you a lesson!"
  • As he spoke, he tried to rush forward to strike.
  • But before he could move, the burly bodyguards restrained him, swinging their baseball bats hard at his left leg.
  • With a crack, his leg bone shattered.
  • "Ah!"
  • Hudson let out a pig-like scream, and Claire, terrified, screamed, "B*tch, let go of my son! I'll kill you!"
  • She rushed at the woman in red, claws outstretched, not caring how many people were around.
  • The woman in red was none other than the noble eldest daughter of the Royce family, one of the four great families of Southonville. She had been born with a silver spoon. Compared to the Miller family, they were like heaven and earth.
  • Before she could speak, the bodyguards stepped forward, pinning Claire to the ground.
  • The woman in red sneered, took the gloves from a bodyguard, and then began mercilessly slapping Hudson's swollen half-face in front of Claire. After finishing, she casually said, "Tie her up, throw her in the sea to feed the fish!"
