Chapter 7

  • At the international airport in the city of London, a flight arrived from Los Angeles, USA.
  • A large number of passengers exited the airport's departure hall, all with different skin tones and speaking different languages. But there are always some people who stand out in the crowd, attracting the attention of passersby. Among the crowd, there was a woman with a slender figure, delicate and smooth skin to the eye, exuding a mature charm. Especially the pair of green eyes, conveying warmth and calm.
  • She is like a pearl, exuding an attractive light, accompanied by two children. A boy and a girl, each holding one of her hands. Such an image is beautiful to those who observe it.
  • These children are only 6 years old and already very beautiful.
  • The woman obediently held the boy, while the girl with an arrogant look looked around. The girl, on the other hand, was smiling and seemed full of curiosity, above all.
  • "No, no, no."
  • The woman leaned down, waved her fingers up, and said softly.
  • "Sophie, you must speak English when you return to the UK. Do you understand?"
  • "I understand..."
  • The girl pouted.
  • "My sister is too silly!"
  • The boy smiled, the corners of his mouth were upturned, and his beautiful green eyes showed discontent.
  • "She doesn't know how to speak British English."
  • "Mama, Noah is teasing me!"
  • The girl pouted and gave the boy a dissatisfied look.
  • "Calm down, both of you."
  • The woman smiled, her eyes curved, and she looked adoringly at the little villain beside her.
  • "You two should tolerate each other. Sophie, don't pay attention to your brother's words. And you, Noah, you won't tease your sister again, will you?"
  • "Fine."
  • The boy nodded heavily.
  • "Fine."
  • The woman nodded satisfactorily and said.
  • "We will arrive at our new home soon. Mama is very tired after the trip."
  • As the woman said that, the two children were led out of the airport by their mother, obediently.
  • Leaving the airport, the woman exhaled.
  • Returning to this city after six years, the mixed feelings are indescribable. The woman silently shouted in her heart.
  • Valentina, you're back!
  • "Miss Miller."
  • As soon as they left the airport, a bodyguard stepped forward, bowed to Valentina, and said.
  • "The Mr. asked me to take the miss to the house."
  • Before Valentina could respond, she heard her phone ringing in her bag.
  • "Hello?"
  • "How are you? Have you arrived?"
  • A pleasant male voice came from the other end of the phone.
  • "Well, I just arrived, your call was very timely."
  • Valentina smiled.
  • "Is it dad?"
  • At this moment, the boy opened his mouth, his eyes lit up, and he looked at his mother expectantly.
  • "Yes."
  • Valentina nodded.
  • "It's not dad, Lucas..."
  • The girl was a little disappointed.
  • "I want to talk to dad!"
  • The boy said immediately.
  • "Me too!"
  • The girl opened her hands with excitement when she heard this.
  • "I seem to hear the children's voices."
  • The man on the other end of the phone smiled.
  • "Are they going to talk to me?"
  • "Yes."
  • Valentina chuckled and handed the phone to the two little ones.
  • "Dad!"
  • "Dad!"
  • The children spoke at the same time, calling for dad, and chatted animatedly.
  • "Sophie, Noah, how are you? Are you tired from the flight?"
  • "No!"
  • The boy immediately denied firmly.
  • "I miss you, dad..."
  • "Dad misses Sophie and Noah too, but dad won't be able to be with you for a few days."
  • "When will you come?"
  • "I'm not sure yet, but I'll see you soon."
  • "Then we and mommy will wait for daddy."
  • "Well, then you have to listen to mommy."
  • The man said softly.
  • Valentina approached the phone and the three of them talked non"stop."
  • "Okay, that's enough."
  • Valentina pretended to be angry.
  • "Jonas, it's late in Los Angeles, right? You're not sleeping. What are you still doing talking to us?"
  • After saying that, I pointed to the two little ones.
  • "And you two, don't you know he's tired after working all day? Besides, I'm tired too, there will be time tomorrow for a video call."
  • "Oh."
  • Jonas smiled.
  • "You're becoming more and more like a housekeeper. Did you know?"
  • "Very funny."
  • "Mom is so fierce!"
  • The girl said secretly to her brother.
  • "Yes."
  • The boy nodded.
  • Valentina gave them a disapproving look and said above their heads.
  • "Noah! Sophie! Hurry up and get in the car!"
  • "Okay, mom."
  • The girl made a face and angrily followed her brother into the car.
  • "Haven't you gotten in the car yet?"
  • Jonas asked.
  • "No, not yet."
  • Valentina smiled as she answered.
  • "Then get in, go home and rest well."
  • "I will."
  • She turned around and got into the car, indicating to the driver to drive.
  • "I'm in the car now. I'm going to hang up."
  • "Wait a minute!"
  • Jonas said hurriedly.
  • "What's up?"
  • Valentina raised an eyebrow.
  • "Val, do you miss me?"
  • Jonas suddenly asked on the other end of the phone.
  • Valentina's face turned slightly red.
  • "Are you sleepwalking? You should sleep."
  • "No. " Jonas said softly " Answer, I won't sleep if you don't tell me."
  • "You ... " Valentina was helpless " We just saw each other yesterday."
  • "It doesn't matter! " Jonas' tone was seductive " If you don't say it, I won't hang up."
  • "Okay " Valentina nodded and said softly " I miss you."
  • As soon as she finished speaking, the two little ones beside her were already celebrating, covering their mouths shyly and laughing.
  • Valentina's face turned even redder.
  • "I miss you too. " Jonas said loudly on the other end of the phone.
  • "Uhm ... " Valentina nodded and didn't know what else to say.
  • "Then come back and wait for me. We'll all be together very soon."
  • "Yes."
  • Hanging up the phone, Valentina smiled and looked at the scenery outside the car window. Six years, she has been away from here for six years. She lived through sad and happy moments, but there are some things she doesn't want to think about and it's better to leave them in the past.
  • The car headed towards the villa in the city and the two little ones were already asleep. Looking at the two sleeping children, Valentina was a little worried.
