Chapter 8 The Rare Beauty

  • ~Alexander~
  • The party was at a peak when I entered it.
  • Rich people were showing off their brands and money. That is what the party was all about.
  • Tucking my suit button, I scooped my eyes through the crowd.
  • It’s all about the plastic beauty ready to lure you for your status and power. No genuine appreciation for the work; it’s all about showing off. The men were complimenting others wives, trying their luck for extramarital affairs, and some were ready to turn their business deals into sustainable relationships by tying their kid’s life together.
  • I didn’t come here to check on these people, but because I wanted to celebrate our achievements with Esrael. I saw the arrangements and signaled my manager. “Is everything ok? Boss,”
  • “No,” he wanted me to tell him where the room was for improvement. But as my employee, he should know and assess the situation by himself.
  • “What do you think I don’t like here?”
  • He looked around, trying to pinpoint, but found none.
  • “You are fired,” I replied in a toneless voice.
  • I shocked the manager as he lost his only job in a few minutes.
  • I walked towards the bar and saw Esrael consoling the manager and telling him to go home and rest, and he would handle his arrogant friend on his behalf.
  • Esrael tapped me as we settled in the lounge, away from the crowd.
  • “Was it necessary to fire that man today? He did an excellent job on such short notice. “Esrael questioned me.
  • I gave him a constant stare and said,
  • “Well, he should learn how to improve the quality of work in a short period.”
  • “Look around. It feels congested. No one at the door to greet the guests, and last but no welcome drink.”
  • “Enamore lives perfection; you must be perfect to work with my brand. Am I right or am I right, Esrael?”
  • His lips twirled up; he heard me. There was no room for me to be wrong regarding Enamore.
  • “You are right,” he shrugged with a lost battle and jerked himself back on the black couch.
  • “Did you find someone?” he questioned, and I didn’t bother to look at him.
  • “It’s all plastic here.”
  • The server came and asked for drinks. What the hell was happening? Are these guys working for my company or what? Doesn’t he know his boss’s choice of drink? Didn’t it already be mentioned to him? I glared at Esrael, pointing out one more mistake of our Ex-manager.
  • “Scotch on the rocks and champagne for this man,” Esrael answered.
  • I caught Esrael stealing the peeks from his assistant Olivia and her friends talking to a man. He wanted to join them but didn’t dare to do it.
  • “Did you find someone?” I wiggled, catching him red-handed.
  • “Do I need to?”
  • Esrael pointed his finger towards the girls, making me turn towards them. I roughly rolled my eyes through the crowd, which was not visible because of the dim lights. But my eyes stopped for a few seconds on this beautiful girl.
  • She looks perfect in her off-the-shoulder dress. While every girl exposed her body and liked to wear black and red color dresses, she experimented with a sky blue color dress, which looked perfect on her.
  • It’s nothing new when a beautiful girl tries to seduce a man for her own benefit. Here we go; an idiot guy fell for this crap.
  • I rolled my eyes and thought she could be a new model who wanted to join his fashion house and tried to develop her contacts.
  • I turned towards Esrael, who was constantly gazing at Olivia.
  • “She is your assistant,” I answered him gruffly.
  • “So? I like her. She is a hard-working woman.” Esrael defended in his honeyed voice.
  • “Hard-working woman who can crawl in your bed whenever you want. You just need to throw some money at them.” I smirked.
  • Esrael rolled his eyes and stared at me with frustration. He had already given up tags on my name for being an arrogant, heartless man.
  • “Fine, I am sorry.” I didn’t want to defend him. After all, he was the only genuine man I had.
  • I didn’t want to stay here to accept all these crap things in front of my eyes. I told Esrael to leave this party as soon as possible.
  • He snorted at me and said, “Why?”
  • “Because these girls are watching me with their carnivorous peer to rip me apart.” My answer made him laugh.
  • “Then I am sure you can handle each one of them with your smoky voice and daunting looks,” he answered.
  • “I don’t want to use my charm on these trash cans,”
  • Esrael knew he would never win from me, not when it comes to girls.
  • “It’s our party, Alex. It is time to celebrate what we worked for, for so long. I will not allow you to leave early,” Esrael replied.
  • I accepted Esrael’s request with a titter on my face.
  • While we were busy talking, we heard an unfamiliar voice.
  • “Hello,”
  • I turned towards the source as my eyes stuck on the same blue-colored dress. The face was covered with the masquerade eye mask when I looked at it. Why the hell did you hide her face?
  • I scold myself for commanding the masquerade theme.
  • I stood up as I wanted to see her hidden face clearly and answered her, “ Hello.”
  • She was looking at me, taking every bit of mine inside her. She was quiet, and I took this moment as I gain to explore her.
  • She has a beautiful body; she stood there in her Junoesque poster and wanted me to read her eyes.
  • It revealed her emerald green eyes behind her mask.
  • I kept my wineglass down and looked at her again.
  • She asked me to dance with her. Although when I entered, every girl carried this same question, here I am again, squared with the same question that came from this beautiful girl.
  • I didn’t know when I agreed and walked behind her.
  • She has a peculiar scent, a lavender fragrance, I guess.
  • She looked at her friends and was about to stumble when my hand reached to grab her waist.
  • I observed every girl was gazing at her with jealousy, and she noticed that too. I felt lucky to find this genuine beauty between these plastic ones. Her frame was delicate and astonished by my senses. When we reached, I saw her hidden face under this big chandelier.
  • Until now, I wanted to see her eyes, but when I saw her pink pouted lips, it made me clear she was a rare beauty.
  • When others chose bold makeup, she liked the nude on her flawless skin.
  • Surprisingly, girls wanted to talk a lot, but she was quiet. She didn’t utter a single word. Did she even know with whom she was dancing?
  • I complimented her on her dress, trailing my eyes from her face towards her long, exposing neck, catching my attention.
  • She answered me in a soft, soothing tone. She is beautiful with a soft voice. I wanted to hear her more, but what should I ask?
  • I tried to think hard and asked her about knowing her.
  • She smiled and said, does it matter?
  • Wow!!! She didn’t want to reveal her name to me and was not showing excitement about dancing with me. She was calm as the sea. I liked her attitude. The way she silenced me with her index made me crave more to know about her.
  • That was the first time someone else was controlling me, and I liked the flow. The suspense kept me going.
  • Suddenly she stopped and said sorry to me. But for what? For not telling me her name?
  • I was lost in figuring out her sorry, and suddenly, something hit my lips; she kissed me. Those pouty lips grazed against mine and made me stop for a few seconds. I didn’t get what happened, but the action-reaction was I was sucking those lips in mine. Her lashes were touching my cheeks as I inhaled her fragrance inside me. Her soft hand grabbed my face quietly as I clenched her tiny waist unintentionally.
  • I didn’t want to miss the opportunity and wanted to taste every corner of her sweet mouth. Her plum pouted lips gave me a hint of dirty martini taste. Her touch gave me a hard sensation in my body. Neither of us moved to stop this sensual act; we were intensely busy as I heard her quiet moan.
  • She backed herself to breathe, and something told me she didn’t kiss me with a feeling of excitement. It was more like she was lost attesting that action.
  • It lost her eyes somewhere else. Her eyes were big and scared as she realized she had done something wrong. She felt something for me. Or is this the regret I read in her orbs?
  • With the word, she left me alone on the floor.
  • I saw her running out of sight, and my emotions changed into anger. How the hell did she control me? I am Alexander Hunt, and women are not my weakness.
  • How dare she leave me on this dance floor, run away, kiss me, and didn’t tell me her name? Who was she?
  • I looked around, and my eyes rested on Esrael as his lips were spread from ear to ear. He showed me his glass; cheers.
  • What the hell happened here? How could a woman stay away from my charm? I needed to know who she was. Silently, I licked my lips again to remind myself of her taste.
  • She was a rare beauty, and I needed to find her.
