Chapter 4 Hallucination Or Reality?
- Author's POV
- "no, thank you I'll do the rest..."
- Eira said to maid after she helped her in the washroom, she couldn't take bath as her wounds were still fresh so the maid arranged the sponge bath for her.
- Eira is used to do her all work by herself so she wasn't allowing the maid to wipe her body.
- "Miss but it's an order from the Al___ I mean sir, to help you."
- "I'll call you when I need something... this, I will do by myself..."
- She answered in dismissing tone, the maid nodded and left.
- Eira squeezed the water out of the sponge and cleaned her legs and arms, giving special attention to her wounds. It takes hardly one week for her wounds to heal whenever she gets injured and pain was almost non-existent.
- After cleaning she tried to reach her back but couldn't.
- "May I help you?..."
- She looked at the xavion who was standing in front of her watching her struggles.
- Eira placed the sponge back in the bowl of water.
- "No thank you..."
- Totally avoiding his gaze. The sparks she was feeling for a second was very weird for her.
- "Then you should at least let the maids help you. Your wounds need to be taken care off..."
- He said sternly.
- 'Find me...'
- Eira's eyes snapped aside as she again heard the familiar whisper.
- "What happened?..."
- Xavion asked looking at her confused.
- "Nothing..."
- She mumbled still looking at the direction from where the whisper came, but she never found the exact direction. It feels like, it's coming from everywhere.
- 'I need you... Help me...'
- She again heard it but this time it wasn't a whisper. It was much louder.
- "I'll help you..."
- Xavion said and she nodded in her own daze not paying attention to him.
- Frowning at her behavior, xavion sat behind her and slowly unzipped her dress. He cut the bandage undressing her wound and slowly started cleaning her back.
- When his rough fingers touched her skin her body filled with goosebumps which didn't go unnoticed by him, small smirk played on his lips as he saw the effect.
- 'Emotions or not... You can't deny the bond...'
- When xavion touched her, the voice got louder.
- 'Help me to get out... Let me out Eira... I need you...'
- Eira closed her eyes tightly.
- 'i need you Eira... Help me...'
- "What's happening?... Stop it..."
- She mumbled shaking her head.
- "Are you okay?..."
- Xavion asked gently as he zipped her dress back. She didn't even realised when he cleaned her.
- 'no... I am not okay...'
- She looked at him with tired gaze.
- "Yes, I am fine..."
- She answered sitting straight.
- "I couldn't contact anyone, my phone is broken... I will leave when I can move my leg..."
- She said looking at him and telling in a professional voice.
- "No problem..."
- He internally Smirked.
- 'as if I am letting you go...'
- Eira didn't realized when she got lost in his beauty. His red lips, eyes like God has carved them with perfection, thick eyelashes and olive skin. His Adam's apple was bobbing up and down, perfectly build chest and bulging muscle from his shirt.
- Voice so rough and dominating still with the hint of gentleness. The calmness in it was commendable. Each word was spoken like it's been Perused. Everything about the man were perfect, so fascinating. He was doing something to her which she couldn't understand.
- Xavion cleared his throat and she was snapped out of her thought. He chuckled lowly as he saw her admiring him, just like one mate should.
- There was a hope, she wasn't fully lost yet...
- "You didn't tell me that why you saved me?"
- She asked looking straight in his eyes and asked the question which was bugging her since she has woken up.
- "Do we need a reason to help someone?..."
- He countered, placing the sponge in the bowl.
- "Yes, no one helps you without a reason?..."
- She said fixing her dress which has rode upward on her thigh.
- 'well you are not wrong mate, I have a strong reason'
- Xavion again picked up the sponge squeezing the water and placing it on her neck.
- "Then why did you saved the wolf?..."
- He asked while gently cleaning the small cut on her neck.
- Eira followed the direction of his hands and ignored the feeling she got from his touch.
- "You saw?..."
- "You didn't answer"
- He kept caressing her neck.
- "Because, he was innocent... There was no reason to let them hurt him."
- She answered truthfully.
- "So you killed humans... You choose animal over humans?..."
- He said in amusement.
- "Yes!"
- She slowly removed his hand from her neck which was lingering there more than necessary.
- "The wolf could have hurt you, killed you to tame his hunger. You shouldn't mess with the wild animals. He didn't needed you to save him. It's a law of nature, if you are strong you will survive and if you are not, then there is no place for you in this cruel word..."
- He whispered in front of the face, looking at her closely. Admiring every feature he can, her plump lips, slender and inviting neck. His wolf growled in a thought that how his mark will look on her.
- Eira was thinking deeply about his words, he wasn't wrong. She herself has struggled to become the strong otherwise she would have been dead long time ago.
- "I am capable enough to protect myself from the wolf..."
- "Are you?..."
- He chuckled while getting up from the bed.
- "Where are we?... The maids didn't answered my questions..."
- She asked still unknown to the place.
- "You will know soon..."
- With that he walked out.
- ***
- "Your wounds are healing quickly miss..."
- The Doctor said, examining her injuries.
- Eira can move her leg now and she was eager to go back.
- "I didn't expected this much progress in just one day..."
- The lady sounded amused but it was nothing new for Eira, it happens everytime.
- "We can remove the stitches now..."
- She declared and Eira nodded in agreement.
- The lady who turned out to be a doctor Even if she doesn't look like one started removing her stitches. After finishing she again cleared the area with antiseptic.
- "Here, we are done miss... I'll take my leave now. Wish you a great health..."
- "Thank you..."
- Eira Said genuinely and stood up from the bed as doctor left the room.
- Since morning's conversation she haven't seen xavion, some part of her wanted to see him again. When she looks at him, couldn't take her eyes off of the beautiful creature. She haven't realised yet that the mate bond has started to develop and with time it will become more stronger. There was some weird restlessness in heart which she couldn't recognize. It feels like her mind is somewhere else and heart somewhere else.
- Till now she was feeling emotions for mere seconds but when it comes to this man, it was changing. His touch, that spark, getting in lost in him, everything was surprising. Eira has never experienced something like this before.
- She carefully walked towards the window, not wanting to strain Her leg. It wasn't moon night but still beautiful, the sky was clear and appealing. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as cool breeze swayed her hair across her face. Her warm body welcomed the cool touch of wind. She looked out of the window and as far as she can see, it was forest and she was in middle of it. The peak where she fought last night was clearly visible.
- The faint growl grabbed her attention and she tried find the source. She looked down in the garden and saw the man who was causing weird sounds in the varanda. Soon the man jumped and landed on the ground as a big grown wolf.
- For a second she couldn't believe in her eyes thinking may be she is hallucinating again, may be this the next step of her imaginary illness but those thoughts got broken as she heard the loud growl, stronger than roar.
- It wasn't a hallucination, neither dream.
- It was reality and it was the same wolf she saved last night, for whom she killed people. She recognized him the moment she saw him.
- And the man who turned into the wolf is none other than, The Xavion Anderson!
