Chapter 19 Ambush

• Huojingran's face darkened as he coldly said, "Did I give you permission to resign?"
• Luyanxi was taken aback by his words.
• Did he ever mention anything about compensation? How did it turn into a resignation?
• But Luyanxi truly felt the dominance of Huojingran.
• She had a sudden impulse.
• But she quickly suppressed it.
• "Mr. Huo, do you intend to make me your personal bodyguard for the rest of my life?" Luyanxi asked.
• "Mhmm," Huojingran nodded seriously.

• After speaking, Luyanxi suddenly remembered that she had a bulletproof shield in her car. She quickly shouted to the bodyguards, "There's a bulletproof shield in the trunk of my car. Hurry and get it to protect Mr. Huo!"
• The bodyguards quickly retrieved two bulletproof shields from the trunk of the Mercedes-Benz and cautiously approached.

• "So it seems that you'll have to protect me for the rest of your life," Huojingran said calmly.
• His words sounded strange, and Luyanxi couldn't help but feel like Huojingran was teasing her, but she wasn't sure if it was just her imagination.
• She didn't respond to Huojingran's words and remained vigilant, observing the situation with the convoy.
• After a few minutes, the white smoke gradually dissipated due to the wind in the valley. The bodyguards who had come along were lying on the ground, it was unclear whether they were alive or dead.
• Luyanxi tensed up, realizing that she was isolated and vulnerable. She and Huojingran were also on the edge of a cliff, in a very disadvantageous position.

• Just as she was feeling disdainful towards Huojingran, she heard a man's voice in her ear.
• "Young Master Huo, stop hiding and come out."
• Luyanxi secretly glanced over and saw that the convoy had been taken control of by a group of people.
• The assailants wore black masks, only revealing their mouths, noses, and eyes. They held black crossbows and were aiming at the rock where Luyanxi and Huojingran were hiding.
• "Who are you?" Luyanxi asked coldly.
• "Oh? There's a woman too," the leader of the men laughed and said, "Can't you tell who we are just by looking at us? We're a group of assassins."
• "What I want to know is who sent you!" Luyanxi tightened her grip on her pistol.
• The man laughed again and replied, "Little sister, you're really cute. If we were to let you know who sent us, why would we wear masks?"
• Pausing for a moment, the man shouted loudly, "Young Master Huo, come out. Someone wants you dead."
• After his words, the man raised his hand, and more than a dozen assailants slowly approached the rock.
• Luyanxi decisively fired her gun, taking down seven or eight assailants. However, her pistol ran out of bullets, and she suddenly jumped out from behind the rock, delivering a flying kick to knock down one of the assailants.
• "Don't shoot, capture her alive!"
• Fearless, Luyanxi moved agilely between the remaining assailants, like a shadow leaping and jumping.
• After a few rounds, the remaining assailants were all defeated, lying on the ground. Luyanxi was about to check Huojingran's position when she noticed that the leader of the assailants swiftly charged towards Huojingran, attempting to kick him off the cliff.
• "Mr. Huo, get out of the way!" Luyanxi shouted, using all her strength to rush over and push Huojingran away, taking the blow from the assailant's flying kick.
• The tremendous force sent her body flying into the air, and she fell into the abyss of the towering cliff.
