Chapter 8
- "Watch your TV," Tracy murmured as she rose to her feet.
- Tracy walked downstairs in the evening to the pharmacy and then to the store next door to grab something.
- She stared at the rows of sanitary napkins in front of her and realized she hadn't gone there in over two months after purchasing everything Glenda wanted one by one.
- Since her loss three years ago, her cycles have been inconsistent, arriving every two or three months.
- But it should be shortly.
- Tracy packed a couple extra packets just in case.
- When she was ready to leave after paying the bill, a lady came through the doorway, crashed into her shoulder, threw the shopping bag in her hand on the ground, didn't say anything, and touched her clothing, disgusted: "You don't have long eyes, do you?"
- Tracy raised her head, her eyes colder: "After all this time, you still haven't learned how to walk."
- "It's you, what are you doing here so late, shouldn't you be taking advantage of my cousin's absence to come out and meet men privately?" Sara responded, her colorful expression a touch disdainful.
- Tracy ignored her and went down to pick up a shopping bag that had dropped on the ground, saying carelessly, "Sara, since you ran abroad, you shouldn't come back." You may be unaware that I have a harsh mentality as well as a personal grudge."
- Sara's expression altered somewhat when she heard this, and she couldn't help but take two steps back: "What are you gonna do, then?"
- Tracy raised an eyebrow. "Nothing, but you better not have a child in this life, or you'll have to be careful with me at any time. Maybe when I want to settle accounts with you, I'll come to you without negotiating a settlement, and then..."
- As Tracy talked, her attention shifted away from her.
- Sara was only eight rods away from pregnancy, but her eyes terrified her: "You are neurotic, whether you are pregnant or not, only you know yourself, don't think I just bumped you and can lie on me, besides, you dare to move me to try!".. The Pattinson clan will not abandon you! And... And if you don't want anything, my cousin will absolutely divorce you and toss you out of the Pattinson family! "
- "Then give it a shot; I won't lose anyway."
- "Neurosis!"
- Sara reprimanded her again, and she turned around and stormed away, her back weak and scared.
- Sara drove away from the Land Rover parked on the side of the road after leaving the shop, and her face was not attractive.
- "Didn't you go buy water?" asked the guy next to her.
- "Beck, do you remember what I told you before, using the excuse of a fake pregnancy to find a woman who forced my cousin to marry?" Sara appeared to be waiting for her to open her words, grumbling."I actually met her here, and the thought of it disgusted me."
- Beck just said, "Don't buy water and leave."
- "Beck, I'm talking to you..." She sighed and rolled her eyes.
- Sara was halfway through her speech when she observed Beck's attention locked someplace outside the vehicle; he peeked, but saw nothing, and as he wanted to ask him what was wrong, Beck abruptly wrenched open the car door and fled out.
- Sara became aware of the situation and swiftly followed Beck, who seemed to be seeking for something in the crowd: "Beck, what's wrong with you, what are you looking for?"
- Beck paused and dropped his gaze: "Nothing, it should be the wrong person."
- He'd just seen a figure with her back to him, similar to the lady he'd been dreaming about all day and night.
- Sara said, "Then let's go."
- "I will call you a car, I have other things, I will not send you home," Beck said, pulling his hand out of his arms. ”
- "But you have clearly promised me..."
- Beck disregarded his gibberish and called the car: "I sent the license plate number to your mobile phone, and I left first." ”
- Despite Sara's pleas from behind him, he went away.
- Tracy returned home and placed the items she had bought into the refrigerator one by one before pouring a cup of brown sugar water for Glenda, who was half-dead on the couch.
- Glenda grabbed the cup, her face furrowed, and she waved her phone at her, saying, "You guess who just added me?"
- "Who is to blame, Kidd the thief or Crayon Shin?"
- "I'm dead serious." Glenda handed Tracy the phone, which had just two lines on it, both of which were straight and clear.
- [My name is Beck.] Do you have any updates on Starry Night?
- Tracy stared at these two texts for a long time, until the phone's screen locked.
- After a while, Glenda said, "Beck has gone back to China. He is looking for you everywhere, and he doesn't know who gave him my contact information. Do you want to tell Beck that you now live with me?" "Did I just push you towards him? "
- Tracy shook her head subconsciously: "No, don't for the time being..."
- Glenda understood what she was afraid about, so she sighed, gave Beck a sloppy face, and stated that he hadn't seen Tracy in a long time, but after hearing her news, he informed him right away.
- Beck wasn't sure whether she was resisting, but there was no response after she said "thank you."
- Tracy remained awake all night while she lay in bed.
- Those nonsensical ideas persisted in her head until it was dark, at which point she closed her eyes in perplexity.
- But it didn't take long for the phone to start buzzing wildly, and she didn't touch it for half a day before connecting.
- "Madam, there is a minor issue on the company's side; you should come and take a look," the guy on the other end of the phone remarked.
- Tracy didn't open her eyes for five minutes after the phone rang and she heard a distinct word.
- Firm? Which firm is it?
- Tracy examined the phone display again, and it was Mark Spencer, Sean Pattinson's assistant.
- She seized her hair, changed her clothing, ran to the toilet to wash her hands, and called a cab.
- When she got to Pattinson's, it was exactly twelve o'clock, lunchtime, and the number of people going by had doubled.
- outside the moment, these folks were all gathered outside the Pattinson Building's front entrance, observing the commotion with great curiosity.
- "You dare to come near me!" "I'm your president's in-law, and believe it or not, I let him shoot your squid."
- "Oh, it's incredible; tell Sean Pattinson that even if we divorce, he'll get at least half of our family property."
- "My daughter has been married to him for three years, and they've slept in the same bed every night. He's fine, and he doesn't want to pay anything in the divorce. Is he still a man?"
- Tracy came late, and as soon as she heard the final line, her face went white, and an incredible sensation of guilt surged through her body, wishing she could just vanish in place.
- Mark Spencer didn't know when to stand next to her and whisper, "Madam, your father has been making trouble here for half an hour, which has had a big effect on the Pattinson family, and Pattinson has always asked you to solve this matter in three minutes. Otherwise, contact the police to come and go through the legal procedure."
