Chapter 7

  • "I understand! You're still skeptical, but I've previously said that I have no other hidden motive. On your conditions, I am happy to sign any arrangement. You may even employ someone to keep an eye on me to ensure that I don't do anything against you... I'll do whatever to show that I'll never blackmail you!" Tracy's detailed explanation.
  • Sean's thick lips pursed slightly, and he remained silent.
  • "Or are you afraid that I will take your divorce to the media and slander you and your family?" Tracy inquired after she had not received an answer from Sean. "...You can also be certain of this. If I did anything like that, I may kill myself..."
  • Sean spoke after a lengthy quiet. "Do you think I will believe you?"
  • Tracy became enraged after hearing his response. "So, what do you want?" I accepted that you despised me! I understand that you're playing outdoors, but I'd sooner die than have your kid raised by another woman!"
  • Sean scowled as he gazed at her.
  • Tracy understood what he meant even if he didn't say it. He's laughing at her since Amanda's technique is similar to hers.
  • "I'm going on a business trip tomorrow, so let's talk about it when I get back," Sean says dismissively.
  • Tracy grinned brightly, expecting Sean to divorce her when he returned. "... Okay, I don't care how long, but call me as soon as you get back... So we can sign the papers."
  • Sean sneers before turning his back on Tracy, looking at her with an entirely different expression.
  • Meanwhile, Tracy returns home and resumes her job. She blocked off any thoughts of Sean and focused on her task.Tracy spent days in her room perfecting the design as the deadline approached. Tracy, on the other hand, can't stop thinking about Sean and the divorce while she's sleeping.
  • Tracy delivered Lance the design as the one-week deadline approached, and Lance responded to her that night. The employer admired her work and requested her to sign the contract right away.
  • Tracy was overjoyed. She had been worried in recent days that they would be dissatisfied with the items they had developed. However, Fashion Jewelry has been working on this project since the firm announced the new collection many months ago; however, they do not have the design; instead, they report it to all media sources.
  • The next collection will include necklaces, earrings, and bracelets... Tracy has already completed the necklace, so she just has to complete the bracelet and earrings.
  • Tracy had so much going on at work that she had lost track of time; she made certain that her task was completed on time. And she was successful.
  • She completed the design ahead of schedule, which explains why manufacturing began so rapidly.
  • The days and weeks whizzed by. Tracy's jewelry set is ready to be made public till the end of the month.
  • She was so preoccupied that she had forgotten about the divorce.
  • Tracy assumed Sean had not returned from his business trip since he had not contacted her.
  • ---------
  • Tracy was still in the room when her cell phone rang. She scowled and waited for the phone to ring a second time.
  • "Hey, your brother is going to take the college entrance exam next year." The instructor told him he needed to attend to cram school; I nearly earned money; please give it to me." Nestor said.
  • "How much," Tracy asks quickly. Her grasp on the phone has gotten more firm.
  • "He must pay $50,000 for tuition and expenses for this semester," Nestor remarked right away.
  • "Really? Do you believe you can deceive me? My brother received a full scholarship, thus he is not required to pay his tuition... Second, the institution gives a stipend for the whole semester... Third, I've never heard of a cram school that charges $50,000 every semester!" Tracy gave a frigid response.
  • "Just give me the money!" Nestor shot back. He doesn't need to disguise his true hue now that his deception has been revealed.
  • "I don't have any money."
  • "Inquire with your hubby! He has a lot of money, so $50,000 isn't an issue!"
  • "We are already divorced, so stop asking for his money!" Tracy responded angrily.
  • "What! "Are you insane?" Nestor yelled as he chastised Tracy. "Has he divorced you?" Even if he did, you could pocket half of his earnings! You are his legal wife, thus you are entitled to half of his assets!"
  • "Quit talking nonsense!" I divorced him and signed an agreement, so I won't receive a dime from him!" Tracy switches off her phone after her statements.
  • Alexander called not long after.
  • "Did Nestor call and demand money?" Could you not give him, no matter what he said? He began gambling again, and he is now hiding!"
  • "Don't worry; I didn't give him," Tracy said. "... By the way, have you thought about which university you want to apply to?"
  • Alexander made a shaky motion with his head. "...I'm still thinking." He stated.
  • "How about going abroad?" With your exceptional results, I am certain you will be admitted to any institution... "You don't have to be concerned about money," Tracy said.
  • Alexander immediately sneers and shakes his head. "No, I prefer the university here," he says, even though he understands why Tracy advised him move overseas.
  • Tracy is aware of his rage, so she refrains from pushing her offer any further. "... Well, you're an adult now, so you can do whatever you want." Just let me know if you need money, okay?"
  • "You should keep your money to yourself." As you said, I'm elderly and capable of looking for myself..." "—How about Sean?" Alexander said, smiling. Is he kind to you?"
  • Tracy was taken aback when she spoke Sean's name, but she grinned before speaking. "... The reality is, we're divorcing. "I'm just waiting for Sean to return from his seminar abroad," Alexander was taken aback for a while, but he didn't appear astonished to hear this from her lips. "That's fantastic... It is healthier for you... "Don't worry; I'll look after you," he said.
  • "Are you looking after me?" I just broke up with my hubby, ha ha ha. I did not become ineffective. My body is still intact, therefore I can work for us... "What I want you to do is study hard," Tracy said emphatically.
  • Tracy and Alexander's talk lasted just a few minutes. Tracy emerged from the bedroom after hanging up the phone to see Glenda curled up on the couch.
  • "What's the matter with you? "Are you all right?" Tracy inquired as to when she became obviously pale and sweaty.
  • Glenda made a shaky motion with her head. "My stomach cramps," she whirled and pointed.
  • Tracy walked straight to the kitchen and poured boiling water. "Do you have some medicine?" Glenda signed when she shook her head.
  • "I'll go out and buy you medicine," Tracy remarked as she rushed to get her money.
  • Glenda was taken aback when she heard this. "Tracy, you are fantastic... Perhaps your insane hubby is deaf... He has no idea how valuable you are!"
