Chapter 5 The Wedding Gift from Mister

• “Mr. Jack!” William’s eyes lit up as he clung desperately to his last hope and pleaded for forgiveness.
• “Mr. Jack, please don’t end the contract. We’ve had a successful partnership for years. Surely you wouldn’t end it now?”
• Jack’s expression remained stern. “Not only will Carter Group stop all collaborations with the Brooks family, but all our affiliated companies will also cease any dealings with you. Now, leave!”
• “But why? You must tell me why!”
• Jack sneered, “Because you smell like garbage!”
• William was momentarily stunned, the words feeling so familiar...
• Suddenly, several security guards rushed forward and dumped large buckets of trash over William. This included leftover food, phlegm, used tissues, and even a bloodstained sanitary napkin that stuck to his hair!
• William was engulfed in a foul odor and started gagging uncontrollably.
• Jack, covering his nose with a handkerchief, looked disgusted. “It’s unbearable. Get him out of here!”
• William was thrown out onto the street, and people recoiled from him, covering their noses.
• Sophia, still shaken, followed outside, holding her nose, and hesitantly asked, “Mr. William, are you alright?”
• “Of course not!” William slapped her angrily, venting his frustration at her.
• Sophia was shocked, not expecting William, whom she considered beneath her, to strike her.
• “Stupid fool, how dare you hit me? The Brooks family will soon be bankrupt, and without money, you’re nothing!” Sophia yelled furiously, quickly hailed a cab, and fled.
• To Sophia, William was just one of her many simps.
• As she thought of Amelia, she recalled that William had previously insulted Amelia, saying she smelled like garbage. Then William himself was drenched in trash.

• Sophia quickly reassured herself that it couldn’t be the case.

• "I’m overjoyed!" Amelia said, bouncing with happiness. "William was horrible, and his family’s business must be just as bad! Mister, don’t partner with someone like him. He doesn’t deserve it!"
• Seeing Amelia’s cheerful smile, Ethan couldn’t help but smile a little himself.

• "Here, look at this," Ethan said, handing her a folder.
• Amelia opened it with curiosity, and her voice became excited as she saw, "A contract with the Harper family?"
• Ethan said, "This is your wedding gift."
• Amelia gasped. "Mister, are you giving this contract to the Harper family?"
• "Yes. I know the situation with the Harper family. You are the true heir of the Harper family, yet you’ve been mistreated. I’ll give this contract to your parents to make them see you in a new light."
• Amelia lowered her head, unable to raise it for a while.
• Ethan grew worried. "What’s wrong?"

• Lucas grabbed the remote and turned up the volume.
• His excitement was palpable as he heard "ten billion," his face practically vibrating with joy.
• "Ha! This is fantastic! Our Harper family finally has a chance!"
• Isabella looked confused. "Is the Carter family really that influential?"
• "You don’t understand! It’s a ten billion dollar project! We’re bound to profit!" Lucas said it excitedly.
• Isabella pointed out, "But we have no business dealings with the Carter family. We were hoping the Brooks family would connect us, but now they’re about to go bankrupt too!"
• Lucas’s face fell. "We’ll need to come up with a solution!"
