Chapter 1 Bet
- TJ's POV
- "Pre, it's 11pm, oh! Want to bet?" Jaybi offered, asking for a race since we're all going home, from the market to the dorm.
- "Wow! Strength to challenge, though always lose!" Nathan replied, which caused me to laugh.
- "Are you saying something, Tanyog?" Jaybi asked, annoyed. And then glares at me, "And you? What are you laughing at there, huh?"
- I looked away and coughed, clearing my throat.
- I leaned against Nathan, and whispered, "Here we go, Jaybi The Hot-tempered."
- Laughter was the response from the person next to me.
- "What did you say?" he asked, frowning.
- I shook my head, "Nothing."
- "He just asked, if as usual? Old habits," Nathan lied.
- The usual race was that we would race and the losers would do what the won wanted whatever it is.
- "Of course!"
- I grinned, "Game!"
- And we all decided to go to our cars, and went inside after smiling at one another.
- 3. 2. 1. Go!
- We drove the car one by one.
- I was surprised, and at the same time, I just frowned when I noticed that I was still in the middle but the car was running out of fuel.
- "The h•ll!" I cursed, shouted.
- Jaybi used it before, but didn't even put gas? F•ck it!
- I just sighed, and had no choice but to continue until my car stopped so I just got out, and I just waited for them.
- For sure, those will go for me.
- And after almost 10 minutes, Nathan arrived as well as Jaybi.
- "You lost, dude," Jaybi started.
- "No, you just cheated…"
- "But still, you lost." And they both laugh at me, making me think that I'm right.
- "So, what do you want to happen?" I asked, directing them to the consequences that I'll have.
- "Make one person fall in love with you and then break that person's heart within a hundred days," Jaybi said.
- I was shocked by what I heard, "What!? You're kidding, right?"
- I have a younger sister who doesn't want me to hurt someone else because of some reason, and as her brother, I promised her that.
- "Do I look like I'm playing around?" Jaybi asked, with a serious face.
- "But—"
- "That's easy for you, isn't it? You're the Mr. Popular Guy, aren't you?" I was cut off when Nathan interrupted.
- Jaybi put his hand on Nathan's shoulder, "Bet is bet. Whether you like it or not, you should do it. Why? Can't you?"
- I laughed at what I heard, "Wow, wait! Are you challenging me? I'm the Mr. Popular Guy, right? So, almost all the girls at our university are in love with me."
- "Who says woman?" Nathan immediately questioned me back, making me and Jaybi shocked.
- "Wait— what!?" Jaybi and I said at the same time.
- He started laughing as if he was making fun of us.
- "You mean?" I asked.
- "Actually, it's just a joke," Nathan explained, laughing, "but why not, right?"
- Jaybi looked at Nathan with a frown and seemed angry, at the same time, shaking his head as if he wasn't convinced of his plan, "Maybe he'll know, Nathan! Be careful!"
- "Excuse me? What's that?"
- "Nothing." Jaybi shook his head and smiled like nothing happened. "He has a point. You think it's so easy for girls, so why not make it for guys? Like what he suggested."
- Right after Jaybi's sentence, Nathan looked at me and kept nodding, he agreed.
- I frowned, "Really? A guy?"
- "Why not?" Nathan shrugged.
- "Er…. Okay?" Saying while nodding, because it seems like I don't have a choice but to agree to what they want.
- "Okay!" They said at the same time.
- "But ..." They looked at me, when I opposed, "What can I get, if I won?"
- They look at each other first, and probably think of what they could answer. "You can ask me whatever you want," Nathan suggested.
- "Me, too," Jaybi agreed.
- "Okay, then."
- "How about us, if we beat you?"
- I laughed at what Nathan asked, "Uhm, after 7-8 years, I'll give you both a woman to marry."
- That's how confident I am, because I'm sure I'll win.
- "It looks like we're at a loss there? Nathan always has girls on his side, you know that he's a playboy! And don't be concerned about my love life! I'm too loyal to find another girl," Jaybi refused.
- "Yehuh, right! So loyal, yet she still doesn't want you," Nathan teased, laughing.
- "And for you, who has never been in a serious relationship!" he countered.
- I just laughed at them, and shook my head.
- "Wait, let's go back to TJ. He's the topic," Jaybi continued.
- I smiled, "Find me a guy, then
