Chapter 106

  • Sitting in the midst of people in the restaurant where I sat, I felt invisible as I saw the people sitted at different tables with their dates, some with their children, some with siblings while I sat alone at the table observing the crowd.
  • "I miss my dad," I said, even though he wasn't always at home as an army man whenever he came, he didn't hesitate to spoil me and make me feel like a child. He'd always take me out on walks to the far parks, for sightseeing and dates which I always loved, and sometimes a mom would feel jealous.
  • Sitting down there just flashed back some memories to me. Scooping the food into my mouth, it turned bitter and sour. Thinking about my father brought nothing but sadness to me every time I did and seeing Aiden around gave me nothing more than grief.
