• As I walked into the familiar office building, I made my way to Claude's office. It was clear that Claude had been waiting for me for some time. I didn't want to waste any more words with him, so I directly and coldly expressed my intentions. I didn't want to be delayed any further.
• There was a momentary disbelief in Claude's eyes, and he paused for a few seconds. "I won't reject you," Claude said.
• I looked up in surprise and caught a glimpse of longing in Claude's eyes. What was he saying? He was deeply in love with Vicky, and he had even kicked me out of the house for her. How could he possibly have any longing for me?
