Chapter 61

  • The next morning, as I woke up, my eyes immediately went towards the direction of the sofa, only to find it empty. Mr. Eugen had already left, and I breathed a sigh of relief. As I prepared to get out of bed, I suddenly noticed a sticky note on the bedside table. It was from Mr. Eugen: "I've gone to a meeting with a client. Breakfast is prepared in the kitchen. I'll be back earlier today. Wait for me at home."
  • Upon reading the note, I couldn't help but scoff in disdain. I turned around and tore the note into pieces, throwing it in the trash bin. Wait for him to come back? In your dreams.
  • I woke up late and went to the kitchen to find breakfast. By the time I finished eating, it was already noon. I had no idea when Mr. Eugen would return, and I didn't want to see him, but I couldn't just run away either. Even if I tried to hide, Mr. Eugen would probably find me, and I didn't feel like going through the trouble. Although I had no intention of leaving town, I also didn't plan on staying home and waiting for him.
